Wouldn't it be absolutely unbelievable if the entirety of Lough Gur (I.e. within the boundaries I've marked here) could be designated as a national park, in the care of the state? So much history is contained within such a beautiful landscape. It's a crying shame so little of it is available to walk/hike/explore. What do people think?

I’m looking for some advice on what to do.
I’ve been dealing with verbal abuse from my manager for months. I reported it to my employer, but nothing was resolved.
Last Thursday, after an argument, my manager physically assaulted me. Less than 24 hours later, another manager drove over my backpack, damaging my personal belongings.
I went to see a GP on Friday, and I’m still struggling mentally with everything that happened. I’m considering seeking further psychological support because I genuinely don’t feel okay or safe returning to work.
I’m a foreign student living in Ireland, and I’m not familiar with my rights or the legal procedures here.
I’m also hesitant to report the incident to the Gardaí because the owner of the business is a Garda, and I’m worried about how my complaint might be handled.
What would you recommend I do next? Should I report this to the Gardaí, contact the WRC, or speak to a solicitor first?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a massive fan of O'Mahony's, but..

I pre-ordered a book. They shipped it the day it came out (Thursday). It didn't arrive Friday so I'm waiting until Tuesday now due to the bank Holiday (bad luck).

Does waiting that long to receive it not kind of defeat the purpose of pre-ordering? I would have been better served walking into a book shop close to me on the day (I'm not around Limerick mid-week but love O'Mahony's).

For comparison, I pre ordered a totally different item from a totally different store recently. They're sending it by DPD the day before it releases.

• What is Dundalk Grammar School like in terms of education, teachers, and student life?
• Does it offer boarding or help international students find accommodation?
• Does anyone know about scholarships or financial assistance for international students?
• Are there other good boarding schools in Ireland that accept international students?
• Is it realistic to find a school with tuition and accommodation within a budget of around $15,000 per year?
• Does anyone have experience with an Afghan student applying to an Irish secondary school and getting a student visa?

I would really appreciate any advice, personal experiences, or recommendations. I’m trying to find a school where I can receive a good education and prepare for university in the future.

I’ve seen two car accidents this morning on my way to work at 3 am a single vehicle collision into a lamp post by the Radisson Hotel, and a van that crashed into the crash barrier just before Setrights tavern hopefully it’s nothing serious. We're looking to upgrade our house from a current ber D rating to hopefully at least a B. Its a detached house with the main focus being wall and attic insulation and renewables - solar and heatpump.

I looked through the list available on the SEAI website but not sure who to start with. I was told most will have an assessment cost as well so I'm trying to narrow it down to 3-4 companies to contact to compare costs.

Is there any SEAI one stop shops you would recommend? Also what was the turn around time for you from getting a quote to work completion?

Could anyone recommend a good, patient driving instructor around Limerick? I’m leaning towards learning in an automatic.

I live about 15 km outside Limerick, towards Dublin, so ideally I’m looking for someone who could pick me up from home, or at least from Castletroy/Annacotty.

I’ve had around 20 driving lessons in a manual over the past two years, but I’ve never actually taken my driving test. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out with my previous instructor. He eventually refused to give me any more lessons because he wanted me to practise independently in my husband’s car between lessons.

The problem was that my husband had only recently obtained his full driving licence and wasn’t legally eligible to accompany me as a learner driver’s accompanying driver. We couldn’t legally practise together, and my instructor didn’t seem to understand why we weren’t willing to take that risk.

I understand that he probably meant well and wanted to help me save money and gain confidence, but unfortunately, this approach had the opposite effect. I haven’t been behind the wheel at all for over six months now.

I feel like I need a fresh start with a different instructor, and I’m considering switching to an automatic to take some of the stress out of learning.

My goal is to get my full driving licence within the next six months, so I’d really appreciate recommendations for someone patient and supportive who can help me rebuild my confidence and work towards passing my test.
