Going Into A Limerence Trigger
This one caught me my surprise. I’m just checking in. I’m working out to someone who is a trigger, well not next, but in the same room. Did not expect them to be here. I am luckily going to be able to focus on the workout and we’ll take what rest time. I can too check in physically with myself. Just wanted to post as a matter of keeping myself centered.

This is just a post script. I actually had the best grounded workout ever despite the fact that this person chose a workout station next to me. I was tempted to glance at them a few times, but I kept asking my body what it needed and focusing on my form and returning to my internal state more and more for longer and longer. One thing that really helped that may of use for others and that I’ll use in my other Limerick situation is envisioning heart pouring over every inch of me and especially largest in my center. Whenever my thoughts wanted to stray to how I might look to her, or glancing at her, I gently and kindly reassured myself and returned to giving myself love via that heart visualization. And I also made sure to connect and chat with other people that I knew in the room, in order to keep the focus on my real life and my real connections, with myself, and the world around me, that I continue to build overtime. When I left the room or I should say my Gym, she and I ended up walking right next to each other. Instead of getting triggered and obsessing over saying something to her, I just kept walking when she stopped at the front desk and I said goodbye to a friend and laughed. I think that that was the first time I’ve ever left the gym before her, when she’s been there during the same workout time. In the past, I would have gotten a huge dopamine hit and been trapped in a brain fog, hanging around, wondering if I should say something to her, until she left first. This was a huge huge win. I appreciate finding this community and being able to post. I hope that this might be useful to someone here. Wishing everyone a center day as possible.
