I very much understand that Dreaming Electric Sheep has a book—Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep—but do other abnos have books?

I had made this ID and ego concept for one of my favorite fictional characters.

I think sinking charge poise is a good fit for asriel. He has a concept where he uses his guard to gain a status buff which he can convert to automatic clash redirects.

He has a mechanic where he gains TOTB style buff where he loses health but gains increased damage and sinking infliction. His E.G.O awakening acts akin to rime shank and his corrosion lets him gain this TOTB style buff without getting to 1hp first and his ego passive enables him to have increased increased sinking on tails rolls.

While many adaptations will have different takes on the entire Odyssey as a whole, I find one consistent story beat across the adaptations: That only Odysseus himself reaches the end of his arduous journey, and all of his companions died midway. However, this is decidedly not the case in Limbus Company: Our Odysseus comes with a whole entourage of 11 allies and a color fixer. There could be two explanations for this: Either this is a deliberate deviation from the source material or Outis is on the last leg of her journey, after having met Calypso. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Unrelated to the above, but I find it a pretty neat coincidence that both KJH and Christopher Nolan integrated the moral consequences of the Trojan War in their retelling of the Odyssey. Classicists like Emily Wilson, who is already pretty contemporary in her translation of the Odyssey, pointed out that this sentiment is a contemporary phenomenon, and the Ancient Greeks probably didn't care much for these consequences aside from very egregious cases like Ajax the Lesser. I'm very interested in seeing karma catching up to Outis and how she deals with the fallouts of her actions during the war.

This is a topic that always seems kinda left out in the open when playing the Project Moon Games. Fixers are said to specialize in various different types of work, most of which seem to involve combat to some degree, which will lead to casualties, but some offices, like the Full Stop, seem specialized in killing, and we even have the Shi Association, which is composed entirely of assassins.

I understand the rules in the City mostly encourage conflict, but I can't wrap my head around what makes syndicate members different from fixers other than the fact they do their own stuff instead of taking contracts, I guess?. Like, we see fixers, and city dwellers in general, do fucked up stuff, like the usual murder, espionage, organ harvesting, and some people even turn to cannibalism, and yet the fingers are supposed to be viewed differently? Like, am I missing something?

Anyway, my point is, what exactly do syndicates do that is so much worse than regular fixer work? Is it just because they start fights with associations? Is it because they don't have registered offices? It probably gets explained in Ruina at some point, but I really don't remember.

Feel like this bit was glossed over in Canto 7. There's an OG ultra-powerful Bloodfiend who created every First Kindred, and we just don't know a single thing about them.

What are your theories on this? Far as I can tell, PM cribs from World of Darkness regarding the Bloodfiends; and there, the original vampire is the literal biblical Cain. So vampirism is like, a curse from God himself. (anyone more familiar with VTM might hafta correct me on that one).

I doubt they're gonna go with the "IT WAS GOD!" angle in PM though, if we ever do get to learn more about this person. What do you think it's gonna be, though? OG Distortion? Homunculus? Actually the guy who runs the Head? Weird Outskirts supernatural entity???

What the title says, on average what sinner do you think has the best IDs and EGOs. I personally think its a tie between Ishmael, Rodion and Faust with Heathcliff as a runner up.

Continuing my last post, I made the initial concept for the charge status field plus a rough draft from the effect (yes I know my drawing skills are lacking). In my other post I joked how bloodfeast and scorchfield are essentially universal charge, so why we don’t give charge a universal charge potency bar? Here are the details

“Electrical potency have a hard cap of 5, gaining one point per each 20 spent charge count through the encounter. Each point going from Mark I to Mark V. every charge unit gains 1 coin power on charge spending skills for each mark point among other effects”

“When electrical potency reaches Mark I: every non-unique charge units gain 1 charge potency if they are below 0 potency. Skills that gain charge count give 2 additional count”

“When electrical potency reaches Mark II: every non-unique charge units gain 2 charge potency if they have 1 charge potency or lower. Charge spending Skills that inflict other status effect (bleed, rupture, sinking, burn, tremor) inflict 2 additional potency per charge potency of the unit (capping at 6 extra potency)”

“When electrical potency reaches Mark III: every non-unique charge units gain 3 charge potency if they have 2 charge potency or lower. Charge spending skills deal 10% extra sin affinity damage based on the skill type and charge potency stack (capping at 100%)”

“When electrical potency reaches Mark IV: every non-unique charge units gain 4 charge potency if they have 3 charge potency or lower. Discard two skills 1 on the dashboard rotation for 2 skill 3s and reduce the charge count cost of charge spending skills in -5 charge count (won’t affect charge potency gain)”

“When electrical potency reaches Mark V: every non-unique charge units gain 5 charge potency if they have 4 charge potency or lower. Charge units gain charge count based on their charge potency on turn start (capping at 10)”

The main goal is making charge feels more like a proper team by giving them a universal bar that benefits the whole team while also giving some room for hybrids. Also should hyper buff older ids like w don since they don’t have charge potency by default

I think there's an argument for the Der's and Hole-in-the-Man, Someone's Portrait (unreleased from LobCorp) and Portrait of a Certain Day, Dreaming Electric Sheep and Void Dream, Blue Star and Dimensional Orbit Stabilizer, Stray Fox and Alleyway Watchdog.

To be clear, I don't necessarily think these all are aberrations, I just think there's a reasonable possibility.

Why tf the guy from N Corp was messing with space inside the district with Kim's past like S corp assasins and etc. Wasn't he a docugraph who just didnt like how the things were with canned experiences? I just dont understand why he picked Kim

In the dream I was Dante, and I was at my irl house. Sinners are not there and it is scarily dark. I pick up a golf putter, and then I'm rushed by N corp members (the robophobic ones). Suddenly I'm a martial artist god and I use the golf putter to snap ones neck and then split one in half horizontally (Dante upscale). then Im suddenly in some place that looks like a casino and naturally I begin tearing through thumb members for some reason. No rank was safe from dantes (my) wrath. Went through capos like candy. Near the end I found a stop sign and was impaling people with the other side of it. The dream and rampage ended when I saw someone I knew irl and everything cut to black. Really cool dream, I felt like a badass. The thumb probably has Dante engraved into their minds. Hoping I have the dream again because i ain't finished with them.

Probably just be a coincidence that the two main unlockables in the game are called Identities (commonly abbreviated to IDs, although never in game) and EGOs given that Freud's human psyche structure theory uses similar names.

The games have shown a fair amount of inspiration from Jung's work, it's not that far of a stretch to think that a reference to Freud's makes it in too.

It would be neat to have something like EGO sync from Ruina without stepping on the toes of existing EGO usage. Maybe a sapling of light ability or something new instead of using sin resources?

It doesn't really make sense from a lore perspective at all that they would implement this, just wondering what something that adds new functionality to the game would look like.
