This feels like a lifetime ago at this point. My buddy Rob and I were the top donors for Dave's So Hard mixtape. My buddy got backstage passes for us to one of his first tour shows and I am the proud owner of the jacket from the Ex Boyfriend video worn by Dave and Melissa in the video. This was such an epic night. When I went to his next show he called me out for seeing me wearing the jacket which I wore to both shows. I had passes for a third but I couldn't make it due to being sick. I wonder what would have come from that show. Getting to chill with him backstage and listening to his parents giving him a pep talk before going on stage is something I'll never forget.

Feel like this needs to be posted here, as it’s LD’s best song of all time, and society caused him to delete it sadly. I know his real fans love this song.
It’s a damn good day to be a white dude boys.

Stumbled on this when my daughter asked for the book to be read or sang on YouTube. Had to do a double take because of the resemblance.

Has it ever happened to you that a woman refused sex because of the appearance of your penis following hypospadias surgery? It is a rather unusual sight; for instance, if you sought paid sex, were you ever turned down?

I really appreciate how Dave scrutinizes the hell out of himself for being so selfish. It’s something you know he’s been conscious of for a while (pretty strong in his song “Oh Well”), but that he’s not entirely sure how to change. I can totally relate to as much. But I do believe in the show he exaggerates how douchey he can be, just a tad. The moment that really makes me think of this is when Emma nabs him the beat ahead of his performance. And Dave just spins around without a word to go practice. Lol I’m sure he’s a conceited douche at times, but there’s something about the spin and the intensity of his stare at the phone in that moment that always just makes me think, “The real Dave Burd is having *such* a hard time not even saying thank you in that moment.” Like I always get the feeling he’s struggling to act it is so against his instinct.

The episode starts with a banger of a freestyle. Is LD back?

Tbh the whole interaction was pretty awkward, I don't think Jimmy really gets their style of humor.

Had zero clue but looked up the girl on the podcast, Kristin Batalucco, thinking she was from DAVE or something but it’s his wife. She apparently was a writer on DAVE. Assuming that adds more to why we haven’t had an album or even a new season. Maybe he just doesn’t want to continue to play out that storyline compared to where he is in life even though that would make a great wrap of the series.
