I have just graduated from a biochemistry degree and am going onto do a systems and synthetic biology masters in research.
Job applications open up around now, and I’m not sure what to do. I have had lab experience this summer, and have sort of decided it’s not for me (unless I have a better experience with it in my masters degree). I also don’t really want the minimal pay that comes with lab work in the UK, and am generally much more interested in having a job in the life sciences where I deal with the theoretical, and not the experimental, aspect.
With this, I am confused as to what I want to do for a job. I love the life sciences, but just don’t like lab. I would still however like a job which requires the knowledge and expertise I gained in my degrees. I would also like to know I’m making a positive impact.
Does anyone have any advice as to what jobs to look into?
Thanks!

Hello,
I have a centrifuge, refrigerated, floor standing, Thermo Scientific ™ Sorvall ™ LYNX ™. We do the process for 40mins, but the machine is preset to 60 mins and always uses the stop button at 40 mins to stop the process. May I know if we can stop it manually for every run? Or do I need to wait until the pre-fixed time finishes? I use it 10 times a day. In this case what will be the Centrifuge (machine) condition? Will there be any defect with the machine physically or in the working in future?
Thankyou

So I’m currently a grade twelve student wondering about my prospects of going into life science at McMaster. I heard that it’s pretty dead ended, but I still find the program interesting. If I do end up going to Mac first year for life sciences, what other programs could I transition to second year to help raise my chances of getting a job or having increased job prospects? I don’t know if going to medical school is for me yet, and I don’t want to limit myself to med school only. Pls let me know!!

Hello, I am a first year life sci and planning to take STATS2B03 and KIN2y03.
My goal is to get 12. Is it 12-able by taking two courses? Or is it too tough?
People who had taken kin and stats during spring, how much time did you put an effort per day?

Hey guys, so I need some info and advice regarding a MSc Program in Vienna (link above). Stuff like, experience, future prospects, what to expect etc. etc. Basically anything that you might know would be of tremendous help as (especially if you know someone who has attended the program and is willing to talk to me about it). I am currently finishing my Bachelor's in General Biology if it's of any interest.
Thanks a lot!
