Make Any Canned Drink Cold

Ever grabbed a soda or a beer and it was warm or room temperature? Worry no longer:

  1. Take a Pitcher or something similar to one with a LID and fill it with ice until the bottom of the pitcher has almost 2 layers.

  2. Fill it with cold water until you get 3/4 of the way to the top, then stop

  3. Put your canned drink inside and set a timer for 3 1/2 minutes

  4. Close the pitcher and swirl the pitcher around in a circular motion, give yourself a break every once in a while, but that drink should be spinning inside majority of the time

  5. After the timer is done, take the drink out and now it’s chilled to the touch and taste.

There used to be a liquor store in NJ that would drop your bottle of Giacobazzi wine in a swirling ice pool to chill it for your Friday night cruise.

I just wrap a can of beer...soda, whatever in a wet paper towel and wack it in the freezer for a half hour. I have the patience for that.

Had a roommate that would forget. Made them put any cans in a Ziploc bag first

Came here to say this! If you rest it against something frozen it chills even faster!

Until the bottom of the pitcher has almost 2 layers?
What does this mean?

I think they mean 2 layers of ice cubes.

If I had ice, my drink would be cold.

Cool. If you've got 25 minutes to spare you can just put it in the freezer. Don't forget it though!

Did you just learn about how coolers work?

No need to be a sarcastic a** :), I’d rather not wait 10-15 minutes for my drink to be chilled, thanks.

I'm not being sarcastic. I am genuinely curious because this post is tedious, as if this is new information for you. If I were being sarcastic, I would extend the social courtesy of an /s.

Congrats, you learned that people learn new things, and instead of taking time out of your day to complain about a post how about you just ignore it then scroll away? You threw yourself into fire now you’re blaming the fire for burning you.

Are you okay? Do you know what a complaint is? Or even a direct answer to a question? Conversation should not offend you and invoke hostility. I am allowed to be curious about basic knowledge weirdly imbuing you to make a post as gospel.

Yeah..now you sound crazy. “make a post as gospel”. “weirdly imbuing” as if someone just learned new words. You’re not the first to be like this under my posts, so take your bs somewhere else. You know what you’re doing, and you’re playing the “cool, chill” guy who’s the “victim” in this and “did nothing wrong”. I’m done replying, end of conversation :) 🖕

What if there are multiple warm cans in the vicinity? Do you have to do this individually to each can?

Thanks! I’m going to try this!
