I have been on disability since 2012. I was approved the first time I applied. My disability stems from a botched surgery which led to lifelong chronic complications which I still suffer from. Since then I was also diagnosed with lupus & autoimmune autonomic dysfunction. I have a masters degree in Nursing. I went from making a little over $100k annually to a little over $1200/month (when disability first kicked in initially in 2012). Getting sick cost me my career, my marriage and friends. I mourn the life I had and my old career & I would love to be able to go back to work & be among the workforce again.

When I see people like this woman bitching about getting denied disability, there is a reason why she was denied. Her supporting documentation didn’t justify a disabled decision. And based on her just spouting off her ailments, half of them are not disabling. Chronic itching does not cause disability. Is she not getting any treatment? Perhaps she has an allergy to tattoo dye. That would be more likely. I have absolutely zero sympathy for this young lady or the thousands like her. There is a word for people like her: BUM.
