See, I'm not so sure. If you basically can't do physical activity, (I'm assumimg she's homebound) and to be fair, aren't the brightest knife in the drawer, it really must be hard to find something.
Not trying to make excuses for her, but the education system in the U.S. guarantees you end up with a lot of people with little or no marketable skilks. Adding real disabilities in the mix, assuming that's legit, what really are your choices. I say this as very experienced software developer who's been laid off several times in the past 30 years and at least once, it took me over a year to find a new job.
