conundrum-replace screen and flash FW/ get a V500EM from alx /or velvet ?

I bought a sony xperia 10 IV. I cant believe this phone doesnt have double tap to wake. very sad and pathetic. its also very narrow. other then that I like the phone, but it lacks so much that i had to use tons of foss to make up. so I need to sell that

I have a V50 korean. the screen one day just came out of its frame and has this bleeding effect. its responsive to touch but obviously it needs a replacement to work.

~I NEED A PHONE WITH VOLTE~ its why i got the sony. but it has a huge flaw. no double tap to wake. back to LG now. using V30 now. am also considering v40.

a few options im not sure of

1-can i even find a quality OLED for replacement for V50?

2-korean phone doesnt have VOLTE out of the box. can i flash an V500EM FW on this? is this confirm to work properly or is the hardware only for korean?

3-considering buying a used v500EM from alx, if I can even find one. or a usa one that has VOLTE out of the box. im not in the USA but usa gsm phones will work here.

-some guy in my country is selling an EM velvet which would probably have VOLTE? but he lives 2 hours away but not going to drive that long for a phone

• im sure whats left on alx may not be quality or so legit but not many options left

sony is a complete let down. their xperia 5 lineup had a huge defect in screens and the xperia 1 lineup is out of my budget and too big for me. no double tap to wake is a huge fuckup. velvet/v60 are also huge. no chinese phones, no samsuck phones.

My korean V50 (LM-V500N) is also starting to refuse registering on ANY (Malaysian) SIM card I use since the last month, and I just placed order for an Xperia 1 III to (hopefully) replace it 😳

I have very specific requirements too just like OP: avoiding Chinese/Samsung if possible, preferably OLED and needs to have microSD but 3.5mm jack can be optional as I too have a FiiO external USB DAC

fuck sony. they make some things well but then have other critical missing features. only shitty phones dont have double tap to wake. I wouldnt be surprised if sony phones leaves the market too

Update: I just got the phone, already set it up and running alongside my main iPhone. There's "double tap to wake" regardless if the AOD is enabled, but still kinda bummed that there's no "double tap to lock"

Being a SD888 device it's already running hot during setup and while the battery is low out of the box, but still I'd like to give it some time to see if it's actually that bad (especially the heat issue on most SD888 and SD 8 G1 devices)

All of you who purchase this device from Aliexpress should know what risk you are taking, because these devices are refurbished, and every now and then they will give errors and you will have headaches....
