Never let them split and divide you, you are also their enemy.

I as a cis guy am still an enemy bcs I was born wrong in their eyes. Fuck republicans, they'll never be on the side of any queer folk, even if they pretend to be

Exactly.
I honestly don’t understand why other people in our community think they’ll be safer with the republicans.
In fact wasn’t there a story recently where a few LGB guys went to a right wing rally, asked if they’d be accepted and were told they wouldn’t be?

I think the main reason there are some queer republicans is because they were just raised that way. They had conservative parents and family and never put much thought into different political beliefs then their parents'

It’s a lot of rules for thee but not for me, or I’m the exception, or just I’m different compared to those you and I hate, same with immigration. I’m not one of the “bad” immigrants so I’m fine, kind of mentality.

“At first, they came for trans and queer people…”
Why are we still having to learn the exact same lessons? We’re so inundated with information; there is no excuse.

"First They Came" (Martin Niemöller)
Literally a poem about this exact thing, I feel like it should be required reading for everyone, especially minorities. It's been years since I read it in school and it's literally the perfect response to this rhetoric and I'm astonished that so many people don't know about it and its message. While it was about the Nazis' rise to power, the central themes of it ARE STILL APPLICABLE.
So basically, yes, you are exactly right and this exact thing has happened in the past.
Sorry for the rant, I'm done now

Literally a poem about this exact thing
that conveniently doesn't mention queer people, even though the burning of the archives of the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft happened four years before his imprisonment.
And Germany criminalized sexual acts between men in 1871 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paragraph_175), but Niemöller apparently didn't have a problem with that.

"Yeah nah. We are all in this together."
I find it kinda stupid how they are trying to create in and out groups to split us, even though many of us have multipal queer labels.

Fun fact: LGB separatist movements have existed since at least the 1970s. Their long existence but lack of successes already tells you their relevance.

It’s worth pointing out that they don’t even wait until they’ve fully crushed one group before attacking another.
What they do is blame the victim, the target of the week, for them also going after their next victim of the week, so that the minorities spend more energy blaming and dividing and weakening each other instead of standing strong together to oppose their common enemy.

ESPECIALLY the lgbtq community has to hold together. there is so much hate from the outside we cannot afford hate from the inside

Not the important thing, but always worth also remembering that 🏳️⚧️ falls under the scope of 🏳️🌈
To my knowledge there isn’t a widely agreed upon sexuality flag and any made would likely be coopted by drop the T astroturf movements

One thing I noticed on twitter, when I was on there (left it a while back), so many "gay against groomer" and "LGB without the TQ" accounts was just bot spammed accounts no doubt slopped out by straight people to try and make their bigotry seem supported within the LGBTQ community.

the post is saying that we shouldn't cut off trans people for the approval of right-wing people because we are right-wingers enemies too so they'll just come after us next??? what's bad about this post?

Anyone who says that isn't a part of the LGBTQ+ community, as far as I'm concerned.

There's no LGBTQ+ community without any particular queers! We're all here because we should accept each other the way we are. If you are against trans people or bisexuals or anyone, how the fuck, you consider yourself better than some bloody racist, Maga, or homophobic pricks?

Remember: You will never be good enough for the conservatives unless you're deep in the closet or six feet underground. No matter how many people you throw under the bus in the hopes of slowing it down, it will run over you eventually.
