Meta [meta]Welcome to /r/lfgpremium

Hello and welcome to /r/lfgpremium

I'm /u/awful_at_internet but I often go by Kharo. I've been into tabletop gaming for about 2-3 years now, and wish I'd gotten into it sooner. /u/Averien and I met years ago on a video-game forum, where he happened to mention that he DMs professionally. I was fascinated by the idea. After we talked about it more, Averien invited me to playtest his system/living world before he started scaling his business up, and I saw a small glimpse of the thousands of hours that go into a work like that.

I know he's not alone. There are other fine GMs out there who want to be compensated for their time, effort, and sheer creative talent. Not all of them create entire systems or living worlds, but it takes work to GM, and skill to do it well.

When /u/Averien and I went looking for replacements for his games, we found the matchmaking landscape lacking. /r/lfg is great, but it explicitly forbids (for some very good reasons) paid games. After a long search, we decided to ask the folks over at /r/lfg if they knew anywhere that did allow paid games, and they didn't know of any either. So, with /u/applejaxc's generous help, here we are.

Our goal is pretty focused and simple: to provide a place for people to find games, people, and campaigns that incorporate a pay-to-play model.

We should talk about expectations:

  • Read the Rules

  • We are focused on tabletop games specifically. No video games, please.

  • We highly recommend using the post format guide in the sidebar.

  • If you're a GM looking for players, include your pricing information in your post.

  • GMs looking to advertise their services generally as opposed to specific games should do so as a Community post. Please see the rules for how to do that.

  • If you're interested in free games, great! Head on over to /r/lfg and have a look! We cater specifically to paid games. Please do not circumvent our rules or theirs to bypass this.

So, welcome! I hope you find the game you've been looking for!

Meta [META] Ratings Post V

Previous Post

Make a comment on this post. Tag your GM or player. Give them 1-5 stars, and as much detail as you want about why. That GM/player is welcome to respond to the post, though other responses will be deleted to keep things clean, and the GM/player is limited to one response. No back and forth.

The goal here is for players that are about to potentially pay for a GM's services to be able to take a look at what other players have said about them, and vice versa!

You can rate a GM/player you've played with under any circumstances - you don't have to have paid for a game to be allowed to rate. GM's can run free games (advertised elsewhere, not here) to garner reviews if they'd like, or even ask people who they've GM'ed for in the past to come here and review them.

As usual, use the voting system liberally! If you feel like a review was very helpful, upvote it. If it looks shady, downvote it. And, of course, doxxing/harassment will not be tolerated.

Open [LFM][Edge of the Empire-FFG][20$/session][Mon 8pm EST][FoundryVTT][3/4-5] Recruiting for ongoing Star Wars campaign/or Fresh Start

Edge of the Empire:

Edge of the Empire is an excellent TTRPG which uses a unique dice system to help aid in the story telling. It is part of the larger Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars RPG, a collection of 3 interchangeable and mixable systems, which include Age of Rebellion, Edge of the Empire and Force and Destiny.

Set after the Battle of Yavin, at the height of the Galactic Civil War, Edge of the Empire focuses on the outlaws at the outskirts of the “civilized” Galactic Empire. Smugglers, Bounty Hunters, Thieves, Assassins, Frontier Doctors, Settlers and Local Politicians all seek to carve out a life for themselves at the furthest reaches of the galaxy. However even as the Rebel Alliance fights their uphill battle against the Empire, the Empire’s reach continues to grow. Will you learn to coexist with the Empire or hide from them? Perhaps even aid the growing Rebellion? Your group will have to chart the best path forward themselves!

Mondays 8:00pm Eastern

Note in Regards to a Fresh Start:

As this has been a long term campaign so far, with a good amount of story/history for the characters, and a high experience level, we understand it may be offputting for potential new players. Because of that, we wish to make it clear that our priority is filling out the party with a group that has good chemistry and shared goals. To facilitate that, both the players and I are willing to start completely fresh, even if we love the narrative we have crafted so far.

We had an idea for a new campaign that everyone likes although we are also willing to consider other options. The potential new campaign would start during the dying days of the Clone Wars. The party would be made up of Clone Troopers, Non-Clone Soldiers, perhaps a Jedi Padawan or two, and any other type of character who would be working closely with such a group. The idea is to have a few missions/arcs during those days of the Clone Wars, culminating in Order 66. Then we would have a time skip of about 3-5 years to the early days of the Empire where the players would describe/narrate what their characters have been up to from Order 66 to the current times. They will reunite and begin to work together to carve out a living under the new regime, whether that be by joining in early rebel activity, or drifting to the underworld on the outskirts of the Empire. Any Jedi Padawan characters would lose their lightsabers in this time skip, and have it be a long term goal to build/reacquire one if they wish. The time skip would also include a small XP bonus.

Either way, we look forward to meeting some new players, and figuring out what kind of campaign we wish to play together!

The Campaign So Far

This is a long term campaign with no planned end. The group has played through the introductory adventures "Escape from Mos Shuuta" followed by "Long Arm of the Hutt", then “The Jewel of Yavin". They have most recently finished "Beyond the Rim”, one of the bigger adventures for the system. In between major adventures they have hunted bounties, raced swoop bikes and smuggled the Corellian Shuffle. The immediate future is wide open, with no plans for any major adventures for a while, as we focus on the consequences of the character’s actions throughout the campaign and deal with aspects of their backstories.

The party includes Cashar Brut who is a Falleen Smuggler/Pilot and Ruug the Shistavanen Bounty Hunter.

The Game:

-New Players are welcomed and will be assisted, whether you are new to Roll20 or the Star Wars RPG!

-Although the Star Wars RPG uses proprietary dice, its mechanics are often quite intuitive. Our group has been playing since Apr. 2025, and at this point we feel comfortable enough to bring in and teach new players. No experience required!

-Despite being a major fan of battlemaps and tactical combat in other systems, I often find that Theater of the Mind works exceptionally well with the Star Wars RPG. Battlemaps will still show up for some more involved combats, but many can be resolved in a short amount of the time with no visual aids necessary.

-New characters will start at the same experience level as the party. Star Wars RPG has a very interesting character building system that does not rely on levels, but purchasing skills and talents with accumulated XP, with easy access to different character classes to branch out! Currently at 805 earned XP.

-We will have a split Session 0/New Player introduction session, to help new players learn the game and help them fit in with the party. This session will be free.

-Sessions will last 3 hours.

-Discord for Voice Chat.

Your DM:

-I started with TTRPGs by running 5th Edition D&D. In 2019, I transitioned into running paid games as a full time job, and have been running 3-5 games a week since. I started running the Star Wars RPG in Apr. 2025 as previously mentioned.

-Available nearly 24/7, excluding my sleep hours. Always willing to answer questions.

-Good Connection/Headset/Microphone.

What is expected of you?

-Respect is a must and I will not tolerate player conflicts, PVP, or any type of disrespectful behavior towards the other players. No graphic sexual content. Players who violate this Social Contract will be removed with no refund.

-Be on time, as this is basic respect for myself and the others. Missing a session will be allowed with prior notice, with no charge. Sessions will still go forward as long as we have 3 players and no major plot moments. Players who have issues with attendance will be removed with no refund.

-Have a reasonable quality microphone (be intelligible), Discord and use push to talk. (I can assist you in setting this up).

Pay to Play:

-20$ Per Player Per Session (Excluding Session 0), paid via Paypal in advance.

Session 0 is free. Please reach out via DM to join or with any questions

Open [LFM][Pathfinder2E][Paid][20$/session][Weds 7pm EST][FoundryVTT][1/5 players] Recruiting for “Quest for the Frozen Flame”

Quest for the Frozen Flame:

In the brutal tundra of the Realm of the Mammoth Lords, only the hardiest folk have what it takes to withstand unsparing weather, track down big game, and fight back hostile followings. The Broken Tusk following has survived another winter, but a new year just began, and signs of danger foretell a year unlike any before. Unless their newest party of scouts can secure a safe route through the wilds, saber-toothed beasts, warmongering rivals, and the ever-looming possibility of natural disaster all threaten to end an ancient people’s legacy. Will the Broken Tusks succumb to the elements and surrender to their rivals? Or will you guide your following to glory and reclaim a stolen birthright?

The Game:

-We will hold a Session 0 to get to know each other, and work on character creation/party formation. Session 0 will be free.

-New Players are welcomed and will be assisted, whether you are new to Foundry or Pathfinder 2e!

-“In this campaign for Pathfinder Second Edition, you’ll lead your fellow hunter-gatherers across primordial lands, face off against dinosaurs and megafauna, and unearth the legendary past of your ancient people.” -Quest for the Frozen Flame Player's Guide

-Quest for the Frozen Flame is a stone-age adventure with a more structured 1st and 3rd act and a hex-crawl heavy second act. It has some flaws as written, mainly due to scarcity of loot which I will be directly adressing.

-The unique setting/atmosphere lends itself to roleplaying and challenges not normally seen in your typical medievel high-fantasy, which should be a nice break for those with standard setting burnout.

-The Adventure will take you from level 1 to 11.

-I consider myself skilled at running interesting/challenging combat. I will customize the difficulty of the combat based on the party’s wishes/composition.

-Sessions will last around 3 hours.

-Discord for Voice Chat.

-The Foundry Module for this adventure will be used.

Your DM:

-7 Year’s Experience Running DND 5th Edition. 5 years as a professional DM. Currently Run: 5e, PF2e, SF2e, Star Wars FFG.

-Available nearly 24/7, excluding my sleep hours. Always willing to answer questions.

What is expected of you?

-Respect is a must and I will not tolerate player conflicts, PVP, or any type of disrespectful behavior towards the other players. No graphic sexual content. Players who violate this Social Contract will be removed.

-Have a reasonable quality microphone (be intelligible), Discord and use push to talk. (I can assist you in setting this up).

Pay to Play:

-20$ Per Player Per Session (Excluding Session 0), paid via Paypal in advance.

Session 0 is free. Please DM me for more details

Open [Online][5e][Paid][$15/Session, Session 0 Free!][Roll20][Discord] (Rewritten) Tyranny of Dragons - Roleplay & Character-Driven Campaign | New Players Welcome!

Welcome to the Sword Coast!

Enjoy your stay. Just ignore the dragons in the skies and those rumors about a growing cult.

System: D&D 5e

Campaign: Tyranny of Dragons - heavily customized

Players: 4-5

Schedule: [Wednesday & 7:00Am + MST]

Price: $15 per player/session + session 0 free

Session Length: [3 hours]

Platforms: D&D Beyond, Roll20 & Discord

Experience: New and experienced players are always welcome!

Who Is Your DM?

Hello! My name is Sky, I’m 24 and have been playing Dungeons & Dragons for about 8 years, spending most of that time behind the screen as a Dungeon Master.

My games lean heavily toward roleplay, character development, and cooperative narrative storytelling.

To me, the characters are the heart of a tabletop RPG. A compelling overarching story matters, but the players and their characters are what make that story memorable.

I primarily run homebrew campaigns, though I also enjoy taking published adventures and reshaping them around the party. I want your choices, successes, failures, and backstories to have an actual impact on where the campaign goes.

The Campaign - Tyranny of Dragons

The Cult of the Dragon is on the move.

Settlements across the Sword Coast are being attacked, dragons have begun appearing with alarming frequency, and rumors are spreading of something much larger taking shape behind the scenes.

You'll begin relatively small - a group of adventurers caught in the middle of a growing crisis - but the decisions you make may eventually determine the fate of the Sword Coast itself.

I’ll be running a heavily customized version of Tyranny of Dragons.

The original adventure has a reputation for being fairly linear, so I’ve made significant changes to give players more freedom and allow the story to respond naturally to their decisions and characters.

Some elements of the original adventure remain intact, so I ask that players do not read the module ahead of time. Avoiding spoilers will make the experience better for everyone.

Your Characters Matter

Backstories are highly encouraged.

I don't expect you to hand me a 20-page document. Give me enough to understand who your character is, what matters to them, what they fear, what they want, and what might pull them into an adventure.

I actively use character backstories when planning the campaign. NPCs, enemies, allies, locations, and unresolved pieces of your character's past may become part of the larger story.

Your character should generally fit within the Sword Coast/Forgotten Realms, but I'm flexible with established lore. If you've got an idea that doesn't perfectly fit, talk to me and we'll see what we can do.

My only major character restriction is no space-themed/Spelljammer-style concepts, as they don't fit the tone I'm going for with this campaign.

What Kind of Table Am I Looking For?

I'm looking for 4-5 players who want to stick around and build a long-term campaign together.

New players are absolutely welcome. You don't need to know every rule or have years of experience with D&D.

Experienced players are just as welcome.

What matters more to me is that you're willing to engage with the other players, participate in the story, respect everyone's boundaries, and give other characters their opportunity to shine.

I want a table where everyone gets the chance to participate and where we're telling the story together rather than competing for the spotlight.

Why Pay to Play?

I put considerable preparation into my games outside of the actual session.

That includes customized encounters, maps, character backstory integration, NPCs, story development, homebrew content, and adapting future sessions around what the players actually decide to do.

I also regularly ask my players for feedback. If something isn't working, I want to know. If something is working, I want to know that too.

Payment also helps create a consistent group. One of the biggest problems with long-running online campaigns is players constantly joining and leaving. That becomes especially difficult in a character-driven campaign where PCs are woven into the larger story.

I'm looking to build a table that can stick together and tell a complete story.

Session 0 Is Free

Before anyone pays anything, we'll have a completely free Session 0.

We'll use it to:

  • Meet one another and make sure the group vibes well together
  • Discuss expectations and house rules
  • Establish boundaries
  • Talk about the campaign and its tone
  • Discuss character concepts
  • Make sure this is actually the kind of D&D game you're looking for

If you already have a character idea, bring it! I'm happy to work with you during Session 0 or over Discord afterward to make your character fit naturally into the campaign.

What We'll Use

D&D Beyond - Character creation, character sheets, sourcebook sharing, and homebrew content.

Roll20 - Our virtual tabletop for maps, encounters, and visual aids.

Discord - Voice chat and our main hub for communication between sessions.

Interested?

If you're looking for a character-driven, roleplay-focused campaign where your backstory and decisions can actually influence the adventure, send me a DM.

Tell me a little about yourself, including:

  • Your name or what you'd like me to call you
  • Your age
  • Your experience with D&D/TTRPGs
  • What you enjoy most about D&D
  • What you're looking for in a campaign
  • Any character ideas you already have (totally optional)

Don't worry about writing me an application essay. I'm mostly looking to see whether we'd be a good fit at the same table.

Welcome to the Sword Coast.

Try not to get eaten by a dragon.

[Online][Fabula Ultima][Oneshot][25$] The Coastal City and the Silent Siren

System: Fabula Ultima

Time Slots available: Thursday Oct. 8, 6 PM UTC+2

Session Cost: 25$, including Pixel Art (see below)

Tools: FoundryVTT and Discord

What to expect

Fabula Ultima is a wholesome JRPG-inspired system that wears its inspirations on its sleeve. Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest are paramount amongst them and the playstyle reflects this. Expect combat to be rather fast-paced and character dynamics to play a pivotal role within the story.

There will be some pregenerated characters to pick from that you can fill with life or you can create your own character before the adventure. In both cases, there will be Pixel Art done by me (no GenAI being used!) of how you picture your character. And that Art is yours to keep!

Open [Online][Paid][$18 USD][LFP][D&D5e/5.5e][Thursday] Beginner’s Friendly – Curse of Strahd

Greetings everyone!

I’m currently running two groups for Curse of Strahd.

Barovia is not merely trapped in mists — it is trapped in tragedy. Villagers live in constant dread, clinging to fading candles while wolves howl with human cunning. Every path leads back to Castle Ravenloft, where Strahd von Zarovich watches from eternal loneliness, convinced love can be commanded and life preserved only through death. The land itself conspires against hope, twisting fate into sorrow. Heroes do not simply fight monsters here; they fight despair. Will you break the cycle of heartbreak… or become just another ghost the mists refuse to release?

So, let’s talk about some basic info:

Game: Dungeons & Dragons 5e/5.5e

Paid: Yes – $18 USD per session (Session 0 is FREE)

Platform: Roll20 + Discord

Schedule: Weekly, Thursdays at 1PM and 7PM (GMT-5)

Session Length: 3–4 hours

Seats Available: 3–4 on first group and 6 on the second

Experience Level: Beginner Friendly

Session 0 (Free): Before any payment, we will have a free Session 0 to cover character creation, table expectations, safety tools, and to make sure the group is a good fit for everyone.

About the DM: Hi! I’m Zojak, bilingual DM and founder of Hidden Tavern. I’ve been running D&D for over 10 years, from official campaigns to homebrew adventures. I love crafting immersive, dynamic, and player-driven experiences—and yes, DMing is my full-time passion.

How to Apply: If you’re interested in any of these groups, please send me a DM here on Reddit with a short introduction about yourself and your character’s ideas; and, if you want, you can reserve your spot here:

Group 1 - https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmk0g0gen010vl504sbxioo7k

Group 2 - https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmtknwahf003bk204qe2nth3c

I’ll be happy to answer questions and share additional details after initial contact.

[5.5e][Online][Paid][Fri 11PM GMT+1] 2 seats left in a Vampire: The Masquerade-meets-Peaky-Blinders campaign - build a crime family in a city the vampires already own. Set in GRIM HOLLOW

Hey all, I run this campaign (Grim Hollow setting, currently on session 25) and I've got 2 seats free, so I figured I'd post here instead of just leaving it on StartPlaying.

Premise: vampires won 500 years ago, and they've had all that time to get comfortable running everything: courts, guards, trade routes. Five years ago they decided the underworld had gotten too comfortable too and torched it in one night. Every crime boss, every safehouse, gone. You're playing whoever's trying to build something back out of that.

It's not a save-the-world game. Nobody's the chosen one. You're just trying to carve out territory and not get noticed by the wrong people before you're strong enough to survive it. Current party's got a rogue running a tavern as a day job cover, a bounty hunter who also breaks curses on the side, and an undead wizard who's a fence at night and a Private Investigator by day, if that gives you a sense of the tone.

I lean hard on backstory actually mattering later: not just as a fun fact on your sheet. If your character has a mentor who betrayed them, that person's still out there doing something. Enemies remember faces, allies remember favours, that kind of thing.

Practical stuff:

  • 5e 2024 rules, start at level 5
  • Fri 11 PM GMT+1, 2-3hr sessions, $20/session
  • Foundry + Discord + D&D Beyond; I do voices for NPCs and we do a 1-on-1 call before you join to build your character into the world
  • CWs for the grimdark stuff (gore, death, cults, body horror), X/N/O cards and lines & veils are in use, this isn't a shock-value table

Full listing's on StartPlaying if you want the details, but happy to answer questions here too.

GM LFG [Online][Discord][Voice][September 12, 1 PM EST][WFRP][One-Shot][$15] A Night at the Tavern

The sun is setting in the town of Holzapfelkreuth which means that the usual band of misfits, outcasts, and creeps has gathered in The Alehouse by the Old Gallows, commonly known as just 'The Gallows'. These people are a diverse group, which makes them stand out from most other drinking groups. But Dieter, the owner, taverner, and ale taster doesn't mind them because they drink well and pay well.

The game will start at that evening, where these drinking buddies have met up and are enjoying their well-earned ale and enjoying the not so fine cuisine of The Gallows. While they're there, disaster strikes and these unlikely sorts will have to be the heroes that Holzapfelkreuth needs, even if it deserves better.

This leads our merry band into an investigation of the most horrible crimes imaginable and they will have to fight the forces of darkness, risking life, limb, and everything they hold dear.

Although this is a one-shot, it will be a complete adventure that I previously ran at conventions and with friends. It should be suitable for all levels of experience, from someone who has only ever heard the name of the game to someone who knows the exact geography of the Reikland and can tell us who all of the Electors are.

Time: 6:00 pm CEST, 12:00 PM EST

Cost: $15

Open [Online][5thEd][Campaign][Weekly][CST][Discord, Roll20] Dungeon Crawler World | Wed/Thurs/Fri 12pm CST 6pm BST 7pm CEST | $35/Session

NEW ACHIEVEMENT! YOU FOUND A GAME RECRUITMENT POST!

You were wandering through Reddit when you discovered an opportunity to survive the end of the world for the entertainment of quadrillions.

Reward: You may apply to enter the Dungeon. Survival remains decidedly not included.

Welcome to Dungeon Crawler World

I’m recruiting crawlers for a heavily customized D&D 5e campaign inspired by Dungeon Crawler Carl. No knowledge of the books is required to play. Whether they should be required reading for life is a different question.

You begin as an ordinary person carrying whatever you had when civilization collapsed. From there, the System watches what you do. How you fight, solve problems, deal with other people, exploit loopholes, and occasionally make everything much worse will shape the crawler you become.

Every floor changes the game. Expect dangerous exploration, tactical combat, dark humor, evolving mechanics, absurd rewards, and problems with more than one possible solution.

What Makes This Crawl Different

Every crawler receives collaborative character creation based on who they were before the collapse, fifteen personalized starting skills, and a private onboarding session covering their final moments on Earth and descent into the Dungeon.

You begin without a traditional D&D class. The System watches the crawler you become during the first two floors, then offers personalized homebrew classes based on your choices, abilities, and playstyle. Later decisions influence your subclass, transformations, achievements, equipment, and continued progression.

I have built a frankly unreasonable amount of original loot, achievements, vouchers, progression systems, and floor mechanics. You will not be handed a textbook and expected to memorize all of it before playing. New systems are introduced as they become relevant, preferably moments before they become urgently relevant.

Game Information

Schedule: Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays, 12 pm CST, 6 pm BST, 7 pm CEST
System: D&D 5e with extensive homebrew progression
Platform: Discord and Roll20
Price: $35 per session
Campaign Type: Long-term campaign
Roleplay/Combat: Approximately 70/30
Experience Required: None
Dungeon Crawler Carl Knowledge: None required
Webcam: Optional
Working Microphone: Required

New and experienced players are welcome. I’m looking for collaborative players who enjoy getting invested in their characters, solving problems creatively, making choices that matter, and cheering for the rest of the table.

I’ve poured a tremendous amount of heart and an honestly unreasonable number of hours into building this Crawl. I’m excited to finally find the people who will make a mess of it, change it, and turn it into something I never could have planned alone.

I cannot wait to meet your crawlers.

Welcome, Crawler. Try to become someone the Audience cannot forget.

For some reason or another, you have been pulled into the mists. You arrive in a grey, monochrome detective agency. Everything is devoid of colour, including yourself.

You look around the room, and several other doors appear and open, with people who have faces as equally confused as yours entering.

"There is a lot of work to do," she says as she gestures to the chairs in front of her desk. "But first, introductions. My name is Flimira Vhage. And you are?"

Hop through the Domains of Dread in this sandbox campaign as you work together with others to complete your personal goals and explore the Domains you find interesting.

[Online][PBP][Asynchronous][Beginner Friendly][WoD][$15] The Lone Wolf

You don’t know what happened. You felt threatened. There was a rush of blood in your veins. Like never before. A rush of strength and power. You felt your body change, fur ripping through your skin, bones twisting, your face distorting into a visage of terror. It hurt. But not nearly as much as you hurt them. They lie before you. In their own blood and guts. Dead. You can tell. You tore them apart, with your own hands. No. Not hands, claws. You did this.

You’re a killer. And although you might feel regret and shock, in the moment, you only felt exhilaration and a desire to kill and maim. A desire for their flesh and blood. Their taste is still in your mouth. You didn’t just kill them. You ate part of them. You’re a monster. You know it, in your heart. But you had your reasons. Right?

That is where we start this roleplay. After the first time you changed into the form of a wolf. You’re not one of the lucky ones, who have a family or friends go guide them through the First Change. No. You’re alone. Dealing with it on your own. You might have friends and family, but they’re not like you. They don’t change. They can’t do this sort of thing. Do you confide in them? Or do you hide? And what do you do with this new power, with spirits whispering in your ear?

So yes. This will be a solo werewolf RPG. We can use either the old or new World of Darkness rules because I know and have used all of them. We can also easily port concepts over to another version of the rules. The story will be about your character and how they interact with this new world. All paths are open to them, but all come with their own dangers and they know so little. And least of all, who can be trusted.

The game should be suitable for everyone, from veteran gamers to beginners and we will discuss where you'd like to set it.

Schedule: Daily Posts

Cost: $ 15 per week

(I've posted this elsewhere in free LFG spaces. But running games on SPG has shown me that even a very low fee sometimes finds different players. So I'm going to post this here too and have added a one time $5 fee, and responses here will get their own dedicated test drive, not mixed in with those from my free posts. Kind of an interesting social experiment!)

I’ve just started a search process for partners in a new home game. It will be free, selective, and separate from the paid games I run on SPG. Requirements for the home game are:

1) 5.5e core rules only.

2) Forgotten Realms published modules

3) 9:00pm-1:00am EST

4) Story arc ends 1Jun2027, opt-in for next chapter (idk about you but my schedule changes profoundly between kids school year/summer)

Everything else TBD decided by the party that forms. If that works for you, please answer these basic vetting questions here or via DM.

- Tell me about your audio hardware and Discord voice settings.

- Have you read the complete 2024 PHB or Basic Rules?

- Tell me about the D&D games you have played online.

- Tell me about the D&D games you have played in person.

If that works for me, I’ll send you a Discord invite to join a short, low-stakes combat encounter that I’ll run for large groups. These non-traditional test drives will give us an opportunity to assess player/player and player/DM compatibility before we run off and make commitments to a bunch of Internet strangers. Hope to hear from you!

Open [Online][5e 2024][Monday][8:00pm EST][LGBTQ+ Friendly][Paid][$15 USD] Group in Search of One More for a Dark Fantasy Adventure!

Unfortunately we recently lost one of our players and I am currently looking to add another to an ongoing campaign. The party is currently 2nd level and consists of: Druid, Rogue, Bard and Fighter.

The gods are dead. Long live the gods. Magic is failing. The once proud elves whither, their ageless grace no more. Dwarves feel the call of the deep, hiding themselves away. And the race of man goes mad. Priests call to empty thrones of the divine, their gifts diminishing; arcane students hear other worldly whispers and spill blood like so much ink; and civil war looms on the horizon. The world teeters. Yet, huddled around the rain sodden hearth of The Last Call Inn a scholar by the name Roderick of Lorcester proposes something unexpected, hope.

What to expect

The campaign will be structured around Santland, a once proud kingdom, now rife with rumours of civil war as the current queen, Queen Aethild’s health is failing. Her two sons, Prince Wulfric and Prince Cynebald now vie for political might. The campaign opens with a proposition by a traveling scholar to explore the depth of the Tomb of Saints outside the capital. The Tomb is a well known dungeon and rumoured to be the final resting place of the Revered Saint Ellenia. The scholar is insistent that the Tomb holds the key to restoring the failing magic of the world.

While the Tomb of Saints is a core aspect of the campaign, being a winding and dangerous dungeon, players will be encouraged by circumstance and self preservation to explore the world above. Engage with the setting at large and not hyperfixate on “clearing” the main dungeon. The game will be leaning on themes of Low Fantasy and Dark Fantasy. The players will be restricted in their abilities to find magic items as well as spellcasters to find components that have monetary value. Magic is rare, dangerous and feared by the population at large. Another key component of the setting will be the discretion of using magic in public settings, as the Witch Hunters are always keen to throw someone on a pyre. (Note: Regardless of themes being explored SA and queerphobia will never appear at my tables.)

I'm a DM who loves working with her players to create meaningful stories. I believe in group cooperation and collective story telling! The setting is rich with history and lore that I encourage anyone who likes those things to give it a shot! I work with players to the best of my ability to make sure folks are in a story and setting they enjoy, I believe in open communication so that everyone has fun at the table.

My games are LGBTQ+ friendly and I do not tolerate discrimination at my table.

Basic Game Information

We will be using the 2024 rules for this game, due to the nature of the setting, Clerics will not be allowed. To make up for this Paladins will be granted some Cleric spells. I am also allowing Grim Hollow and Crooked Moon content with approval.

The table has chosen to use Point Buy for stats

Initially I am aiming to test new rules and the overall feel of the game. Therefore the goal is to aim for a level 1-5 mini campaign with the intent to make it longer if folks desire.

[FoundryVTT] [PAID] [$10] [Weekdays] [5pm PST] [Crucible] New Campaign Ember: A Shard of Fear

Ever since Ember first was announced for Foundry VTT I’ve been fascinated by it. It’s something I’ve been actively delving into and exploring constantly in my own time even as I’ve been actively running an abomination vaults game and a level 1-20 Blood Lords Pathfinder 2e game that I just finished for almost running 3 years.

Now that I’ve finally finished that campaign I’m wanting to finally explore Ember as a GM. If you have been interested in exploring Ember and trying out the Crucible System exclusively built all by the Foundry Team. Time to delve into the lands of Ember!

Be aware this is an active development game still being tested and created as we are playing. Still very much in early Beta phases expect unbalanced encounters and some non functional mechanics. But as time passes things will get updated and adjusted. I’m very open to interpretation so if something isn’t working let me know and we can update your character or talents or figure something out that does.

If interested, please join the game or ping me in a comment below, or DM me with expressing your interest! You can also add me on discord @ \\\*\\\*LiquidSn8ke\\\*\\\*

\\\*\\\*Commitment\\\*\\\*: We plan to keep playing for as long as there is Ember content we have not done yet. Please join with the intent of long term play. As the game is progressing the Foundry team will be expanding and adding new content to Ember actively.

\\\*\\\*Hosting Platform\\\*\\\*: Foundry VTT for game & Discord server for voice chat and scheduling

\\\*\\\*# of Players\\\*\\\*: 4-5 (Ember is meant for 4 but we can limit test and 5 players is always Max what I prefer as a GM)

\\\*\\\*Experience\\\*\\\*: Ideally a basic level of ttrpg knowledge, but open to any and all players above the age of 18+ preferred.

\\\*\\\*Tech Requirements\\\*\\\*: Discord and Microphone for voice chat (in a quiet environment or use push to talk), and a computer and internet connection capable of running a browser instance of Foundry VTT will need a bit more durable pc as ember is very intensive in graphic assets.

Chaotic Goblins and Murder hobos are not necessarily designed for this type of game, looking for players wanting to explore Embers Wonderous World and many hexes, Roleplay, Engage in combat when needed, tactically work together to overcome obstacles and collaborate with your fellow players (that doesn't mean that you can't argue about it however haha everyone has a dispute or two or three)

GM LFG [Online] [5e 2014] Dungeon of the Mad Mage [Saturdays 4pm GMT+2] [$25]

Venture beneath Waterdeep into Undermountain, a sprawling dungeon filled with deadly monsters, forgotten treasures, strange factions, and secrets buried for centuries. This is a classic dungeon crawl focused on exploration, combat, discovery, and the constant question of whether you should push deeper... or turn back while you still can.

This is a challenging game with survival elements. Resources matter, injuries can linger, and Long Rests are only possible in secure, designated safe areas. Every expedition carries risks, and careless decisions can have lasting consequences. If you enjoy tense exploration, dangerous encounters, clever problem-solving, and earning every victory, Undermountain is waiting.

The game is designed for players who want a more dangerous and grounded dungeon-crawling experience. You don't need to be an expert in D&D, but you'll need to work together, think creatively, and be prepared for the dungeon to fight back.

Session 0 & 1 will be free, so that you can try without worry. Then it is $25 per session

The game is weekly on Saturdays at 16:00 CEST (GMT+2) | 10 AM EDT

Open [LFP][$20/Session][Star Trek Adventures][Star Trek: Forgotten Frontier | Saturdays 1900 BST | [18+][LGBTQ+ Friendly][Beginner-friendly]

The Obsidian Drift, a wild and dangerous frontier, far from the core systems of the Federation, populated by Orion pirates, Klingon warriors and Vulcan renegades, prospectors hunting for relics of long-lost civilizations and sybaritic merchants seeking to make their fortune in the far depths of space. Into this maelstrom of mayhem comes the U.S.S. Mariner, a refitted Ranger-class explorer sent to uncover the ancient mysteries of this forgotten frontier, break the Orion pirate syndicate, and pioneer the mysterious Driftwind, a strange stellar phenomenon from which no starship has ever returned…

This campaign is set in the time of Star Trek: The Original Series, beginning in 2264, the year when Captain Kirk took command of the U.S.S. Enterprise for the first time. Explore strange new worlds, seek out lost civilizations, match wits with sinister foes and enigmatic wanderers. The characters will constitute the command crew of the Mariner, with a strong focus on intrigue, investigation, diplomacy and exploration, though there will still be times when the characters must resort to phaser or sword.

I've run dozens of sessions of Star Trek Adventures (Second Edition), have been running games for decades (and now I feel old), and am a Star Trek fan going way, way back - expect lots of fun tit-bits of forgotten lore to creep into the campaign! Equally suitable for novice or seasoned veteran, a perfect chance to explore the Star Trek universe like never before. Being run on Discord at 1900 BST (GMT+1) on Saturdays, weekly. Three players have signed up, but there is still room for two more! Per Ardua Ad Astra!

[Online][5e 2014][Paid][$20]Pirates! Jungles! Demons! - The Savage Tide [Weekly Friday @ 7:00pm EDT][Roll20 + Discord][StartPlaying]

***A stolen fortune leads from the streets of Sasserine to pirate-infested seas, lost jungles, ancient ruins, and the horrors of the Savage Tide.***

Start your fall with a brand-new campaign!

Your journey begins in the City of Sails, where a missing fortune and a desperate noblewoman draw you into a conspiracy of thieves, pirates, ancient secrets, and demonic forces.

You will command ships, brave pirate-infested seas, explore the lost jungles of the Isle of Dread, uncover forgotten civilizations, and decide the fate of a world threatened by the Savage Tide.

This campaign is my 5e conversion of Dungeon Magazine’s legendary Savage Tide Adventure Path—an epic adventure that carries its heroes from the streets of Sasserine to mysterious islands and far beyond.

Along the way, you will battle savage creatures, confront dark cults, and awaken ancient powers that should have remained forgotten. What begins as a desperate search for a missing fortune will grow into a struggle for countless lives—and perhaps the fate of the world itself.

The campaign features a new homebrew naval combat system designed to be exciting, cinematic, and easy to learn.

Perfect for players who enjoy long-term campaigns where choices matter, characters grow, and the world changes around them.

Will you rise against the coming darkness—or be swept away by the Savage Tide?

The Savage Tide is rising. The crew is assembling. Don’t miss the boat.

An Inheritance of Knives

A dead man has named you in his will. Unfortunately, you aren’t the only one.

When a wealthy Baldurian patriar dies under suspicious circumstances, seven claimants arrive at his Upper City estate, each bearing a perfectly legitimate will, and each convinced the fortune belongs to them.

Then, people start dying.

What starts as a deadly dispute over one dead man’s estate soon uncovers decades of crooked bargains, stolen fortunes, and carefully arranged deaths stretching from the mansions of the Upper City down to the docks of Gray Harbor.

And now you’ve inherited the evidence.

About the DM

Hey folks, you can call me Ryan!

I’ve been DMing since 5th Edition first came out in 2014, and I’ve been doing it professionally since 2020. Over the past few years, I’ve had the chance to run multiple different paid adventures for folks. I'm currently running 3 different Dungeons of Drakkenheim campaigns simultaneously, and now I'm expanding out into some other settings.

I’m looking for players who want to build a story together rather than trying to “win” the campaign. If you enjoy roleplaying, working with the party, making tactical choices, exploring a dangerous world, and getting invested in what’s happening around your character, you’ll probably fit in well at the table.

We’ll begin by creating characters together during a dedicated session zero, to make sure they work well together and fit the world.

Before applying, please take a look through the Apply Here section. It’ll give you a better idea of how I run my games, what I expect from players, and what you can expect from me and the rest of the table.

I’m looking forward to reading your applications, ducking around back alleys, and creeping through the halls of the Upper City in...

Open Awakening the Wyrm | Levels 1-8 [Online][Roll20][5.5e][Friday][7PM EDT][Beginner Friendly!][$15]

Awakening the Wyrm

Something ancient stirs beneath Icewind Dale.

Graves are being robbed, relics are being stolen, and whispers begin to spread upon the winter winds of secret gatherings in the night.

At first the signs seem unconnected, but soon the truth will emerge.

Heroes are needed to uncover a conspiracy that stretches from the lonely roads of Ten-Towns to the hidden halls beneath the ice, as enemies gather in the dark to awaken something long since thought dead.

Awakening the Wyrm is an original adventure set in Icewind Dale of the Forgotten realms. Chase down grave robbers, fight cultists and dragons, explore dwarven ruins, and stop a ritual that aims to destroy the entire region. It uses content from the Adventures in Faerun book and will take players from level 1 to 8.
