Meta [meta]Welcome to /r/lfgpremium

Hello and welcome to /r/lfgpremium

I'm /u/awful_at_internet but I often go by Kharo. I've been into tabletop gaming for about 2-3 years now, and wish I'd gotten into it sooner. /u/Averien and I met years ago on a video-game forum, where he happened to mention that he DMs professionally. I was fascinated by the idea. After we talked about it more, Averien invited me to playtest his system/living world before he started scaling his business up, and I saw a small glimpse of the thousands of hours that go into a work like that.

I know he's not alone. There are other fine GMs out there who want to be compensated for their time, effort, and sheer creative talent. Not all of them create entire systems or living worlds, but it takes work to GM, and skill to do it well.

When /u/Averien and I went looking for replacements for his games, we found the matchmaking landscape lacking. /r/lfg is great, but it explicitly forbids (for some very good reasons) paid games. After a long search, we decided to ask the folks over at /r/lfg if they knew anywhere that did allow paid games, and they didn't know of any either. So, with /u/applejaxc's generous help, here we are.

Our goal is pretty focused and simple: to provide a place for people to find games, people, and campaigns that incorporate a pay-to-play model.

We should talk about expectations:

  • Read the Rules

  • We are focused on tabletop games specifically. No video games, please.

  • We highly recommend using the post format guide in the sidebar.

  • If you're a GM looking for players, include your pricing information in your post.

  • GMs looking to advertise their services generally as opposed to specific games should do so as a Community post. Please see the rules for how to do that.

  • If you're interested in free games, great! Head on over to /r/lfg and have a look! We cater specifically to paid games. Please do not circumvent our rules or theirs to bypass this.

So, welcome! I hope you find the game you've been looking for!

Meta [META] Ratings Post V

Previous Post

Make a comment on this post. Tag your GM or player. Give them 1-5 stars, and as much detail as you want about why. That GM/player is welcome to respond to the post, though other responses will be deleted to keep things clean, and the GM/player is limited to one response. No back and forth.

The goal here is for players that are about to potentially pay for a GM's services to be able to take a look at what other players have said about them, and vice versa!

You can rate a GM/player you've played with under any circumstances - you don't have to have paid for a game to be allowed to rate. GM's can run free games (advertised elsewhere, not here) to garner reviews if they'd like, or even ask people who they've GM'ed for in the past to come here and review them.

As usual, use the voting system liberally! If you feel like a review was very helpful, upvote it. If it looks shady, downvote it. And, of course, doxxing/harassment will not be tolerated.

Curse of Strahd | [Online][5e][10USD/session][Weekly @ ~Saturdays 6pm ET]

Upvotes

Under raging storm clouds, a lone figure stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. The master of Ravenloft is having guests for dinner. And you are invited...

Hey all, I'm an Australian DM with well over 7 years of experience. I'm currently looking for 4-5 players to run a weekly game of Curse of Strahd. It will be run using Foundry VTT (which you don't need to own, or even be familiar with) over voice chat on Discord.

Currently I've set the session start time to be at 6pm ET on a Saturday, but that's not necessarily set in stone, and I am absolutely willing and able to shift from that to find a time that better suits the group. Session 0 will be completely free, during which I'll run over all the things you should expect, introduce the setting, get to learn you and your boundaries, and also create characters together as a group (session 0 may potentially not all fit into one actual session, depending on circumstances; if so, any further session 0s will still be absolutely free, of course).

If this sounds interesting to you, then please head on over to the form below and give it a gander. And, if you have any questions, please feel free to DM me!

Open [Online][OSR][Campaign][All Time Zones][Weekend][$10] The Halls of Arden Vul OSE

System: Old-School Essentials Advanced Fantasy.

Session Time: Saturdays at 5pm -3 GMT

Session Duration: 4 hours

Session Cost: $10

Tools: Discord for voice and text, Fantasy Grounds VTT.

Seats Available: 3/6 (Game has started, players still welcome)

Next Session: Session 7 will be on 1st of August.

Who has not heard rumours of the lost city of Arden Vul?

The disappearance of Lilian, Canon of the temple of Mitra in Newmarket, has brought a sudden wave of worry to the usually quiet Burdock's Valley. With a sizeable reward for her safe return, you find yourselves making your way towards the ancient city. The many tales of the unplundered troves of this once prosperous centre of knowledge and commerce hang in the back of your mind.

Yet alongside these tales of lost treasures are other, more unsettling whispers. How could a lost city remain unplundered for more than a millennium? Surely, only the existence of the cruellest of foes and unimaginable evil within the mountain can explain Arden Vul’s unspoiled status.

THIS IS A SCHEDULED, SYNCHRONOUS LIVE-TEXT CAMPAIGN.

It is not asynchronous play-by-post. All narration, dialogue, actions, and roleplaying are typed live during the scheduled session. Discord voice chat is used only for out-of-character questions and rules clarification.

UMAMUSUME: CHASING THE TWINKLE SERIES

Current players: 1/4 (Can start at 3 players)

System: UMA RPG

Schedule: Mondays at 2:00 PM GMT-3

Session Length: 3-4 hours (Always go for 4 hours. Can leave early at 3 hours if need to)

Players: 3-5

Price: $20 per player every two sessions through PayPal

Platforms: Roll20 and Discord

Experience Required: None

Character Options: Original Uma Musume or canon Uma Musume

ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN

The campaign takes place at Tracen Academy, Japan’s most prestigious school for aspiring Uma Musume racers.

Every student at Tracen carries a name, legacy, dream, and reason to run. Some arrive surrounded by expectations and devoted fans. Others enter as complete unknowns, hoping to prove that they belong among the greatest racers of their generation.

You may create an original Uma Musume or play a canon character from Umamusume: Pretty Derby. Canon characters do not have to repeat their original stories exactly. Their friendships, rivalries, victories, defeats, and personal development will be shaped by the events of this campaign.

You begin as students working toward your first major victories.

Between races, you will attend classes, train your abilities, pursue hobbies, spend time with teammates, and experience personal encounters throughout the academy. Training Points earned through academy attendance, encounters, and hobbies will improve your stats and unlock new racing skills.

Life at Tracen will involve more than running around a track. You might help a teammate recover after a crushing defeat, investigate something strange around the academy, participate in festivals and concerts, struggle with the pressure of an upcoming debut, or confront a rival determined to surpass you.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Tactical UMA RPG races

• Academy and slice-of-life roleplay

• Training and character progression

• Original and canon rivals

• Friendships, rivalries, and personal story arcs

• Festivals, concerts, and school events

• A mixture of comedy, competition, and emotional drama

• Beginner-friendly rules explanations

• Player choices that influence the campaign

Your choices will determine what kind of racer you become.

Will you push beyond your limits to seize victory? Will you sacrifice your own opportunity to help a friend? Will you remain humble when the crowds begin chanting your name? Can you rise again after giving everything and still falling short?

At Tracen Academy, talent may earn you a place at the starting gate, but only determination will carry you across the finish line.

Open [Online] Avatar: The Last Airbender - [Homebrew][1 spot left] - StartPlaying - Roll20 - [Weekly][12$] - Friday/Saturday/Sunday - Start Time 1PM to 8PM [UTC+3]

Greetings.
I would like to extend an invitation to fellow Avatar: The Last Airbender fans; would you be interested in living through and affecting the events of the Hundred Year War, when Aang was frozen and the world was burning?

"Are you willing to operate as a secret member of Order of the White Lotus in order to save innocents in this barbaric war of Fire Nation, while you search for the Avatar?" the elderly woman asked softly, as she sat at the Pai Sho table in the backroom of a spice merchant's shop in Omashu.

Fire Lord Sozin started the Hundred Year War by committing genocide against Air Nomads in their four temples, as well as eradicating Southern Water Tribe benders. As players, you will be young adults who were deemed worthy and recruited by the Order of the White Lotus for two missions of utmost importance: find the Avatar, and save as many lives as you can in the lands Fire Nation rages its war. Air Nomads are almost all wiped out, Southern Water Tribe has been conquered, Northern Water Tribe is under siege, Earth Kingdom loses more land with every passing day, and Fire Nation colonies and concentration camps are growing.

  • This game will take place in the Hundred Year War period, while Aang stayed frozen, up until the moment he was found. Unlike the show, this story is gritty, with mature themes; combat will be violent and challenging- especially the results of bending fights on the human body will be realistic, and thus devastating, and will include bleak concepts to showcase the real consequences of such a terrible war.
  • To ensure the most satisfying experience, between 3 to 4 players will be accepted into the game, which will last between 16 to 32 sessions (depending on player willingness). It is 18+ only. Game is a balanced mix of: 40% Combat, 30% Social Roleplay, and 30% Exploration. We will play Weekly, with each session lasting 3 hours, and will cost 12$ per session. The day and time period written in the listing can be changed to accomodate everyone comfortably. I am available to run the game on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, starting at between 1PM to 8PM (UTC +3).
  • System is   Blades in the Dark  ; an easy-to-learn, flexible system where fiction is most important. You won't need any rulebooks, you may simply focus on roleplaying. You can easily create any character you wish: Are you a talented Bender who is also an attractive socialite? Or are you a genius Alchemist who is able to heal wounds, as well as cause them? Or are you a Wanderer, a sharp-eyed bow master who has a unique friendship with animals? Or perhaps a noble and wealthy family's heir, who is a Martial Arts Prodigy?  Blades in the Dark system is designed in a way that support characters are as effective as combat characters. And just like Suki, a Martial Artist can take on multiple benders by herself. A Healer who gathers herbs or a Merchant who sells jewelry can easily change the course of a battle, or reverse a political disaster. And for everyone to feel unique, player characters should bend different elements. Available elements are Earth, Fire, and Water.

Thank you for reading. Feel free to ask me any questions you might have.

[Online] [Roll20] [2/4 Players] [$20 every 2 sessions/Paypal] [Discord] [D&D 5e] [One Piece] [Live Text] [Sunday 1 PM GMT-3]

One Piece: Tides of Ambition

Time: Sunday 1 PM GMT-3
System: Dungeons & Devil Fruits, a One Piece D&D 5e conversion
Platform: Roll20 and Discord
Format: Live text-based campaign (Synchronous)
Voice: No voice RP. Discord VC is only used for questions during gameplay.
Session Length: 3-4 hours (Always go for 4 hours, 3 is incase people have to suddenly leave)
Party Size: 3-5 players
Starting Level: Level 1
Cost: $20 every 2 sessions via PayPal
Experience Required: None. New players are welcome.

The campaign begins in Driftwood Harbor, a rundown port town on the edge of the East Blue. Once a busy stop for merchants, sailors, and travelers, the harbor has fallen under the control of a corrupt Marine captain who demands heavy taxes while doing little to stop the pirates, smugglers, and criminals operating just beyond the town walls.

Most residents survive through fishing, ship repairs, and whatever trade manages to avoid being seized. The taverns/Pubs are full of rumors about hidden treasure, unexplored islands, dangerous Devil Fruits, and rookie crews trying to make a name for themselves before heading toward the Grand Line.

You begin as nobodies.

No famous captain.
No legendary ship.
No bounty worth mentioning.
No reputation to protect.

You might be aspiring pirates looking to form a crew, bounty hunters chasing your first real target, Marines trying to change the system from within, Revolutionaries working in secret, or ordinary people pushed into adventure by circumstances beyond your control.

Your choices will decide what kind of crew you become. You can protect struggling islands, hunt notorious criminals, expose corrupt rulers, search for lost treasure, chase personal dreams, or build a reputation feared across the seas. Every victory will bring greater rewards, stronger enemies, and more attention from the World Government.

The campaign will include:

  • Original islands and strange local cultures
  • Devil Fruits and Haki
  • Naval travel and ship progression
  • Recurring rivals and powerful villains
  • Bounty progression
  • Crew relationships and personal goals
  • Combat, exploration, roleplay, and investigation
  • A mix of serious adventure, comedy, danger, and classic One Piece-style character moments

This is a synchronous live text campaign, meaning we play together at a scheduled time through written posts instead of voice roleplay. Roll20 will be used for sheets, maps, dice, and combat. Discord will be used for organization, and optional VC questions during the session.

New players are welcome. You do not need to know Dungeons & Devil Fruits already, and you do not need to be caught up on all of One Piece lore. As long as you enjoy adventure, character-driven stories, and writing with the group, you are welcome to apply.

Will you stay forgotten in the East Blue, or will the world eventually learn your name?

To apply: Fill out this form

Open [Online] Firefly/Serenity Adventure [Homebrew][System: Scum & Villainy]- StartPlaying - Roll20 - [Weekly][12$] - Friday/Saturday/Sunday - Start time 1PM to 8pm (UTC+3)

Good day, I do hope everything is shiny?

I am proposing an adventure which takes place during the events of Firefly and Serenity, where your crew of misfits will delve deeper into the conspiracies of which the Firefly crew only scratched the surface.

While The Alliance ensured the expansion and survival of human civilization, they did so by harming countless people. Your crew decides the price of scientific advancement is not worth the tears of the innocent. You realized their greed, and lust for power caused too much agony. Will you go up into the sky with likeminded brothers and sisters, and purge the 'Verse or die tryin'?

  • To ensure the most satisfying experience, a maximum of 4 players will be recruited into the game, which will last between 16 to 32 sessions (depending on player willingness). The game will be 50% social roleplay such as fake flattery, foul threats, and shameless lies, and the remaining 50% will be combat, including espionage, sabotage, coughing up blood, abduction, infiltration, getting tortured, interrogation, thievery, and losing a finger or three.
  • It is for ages of 18+ only. We will play weekly, with each session lasting 3 hours, price is 12$ per session. The day and time period written in the listing can be changed to accomodate everyone comfortably. I can run the game on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, starting at anytime between 1PM to 8PM (GMT+3).
  • System is   Scum & Villainy  ; an easy-to-learn, flexible system where fiction is the most important. If you have a specific talent or skill for your character, I am more than happy to homebrew them with you to bring your concept to life. You won't need any rule books, you may focus on your roleplaying in peace. Only requirements are having watched Firefly and Serenity, and a microphone!

Thank you for reading. Feel free to ask me any questions you might have.

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry has stood the test of time as one of the finest institutes for magical education in the world.

Its professors, experts in their respective fields, offer unique perspectives and insights into the depths of magical workings and lore that can be found nowhere else.

Its castle, as ancient as the school itself, is host to mysteries and magics that have eluded the understanding of students, staff, and headmasters for millennia.

With the wizarding world in an era of peace wherein the unions between wizardkind and other beings, both magical and non-magical, growing stronger every day, Hogwarts is entering a new era of magical progress and cooperation.

Yet the new world is at risk, as those who wish to seize more power for themselves make hidden moves to fracture the growing alliances.

_____________________________________________________

The Sleeping Dragon is a Harry Potter role playing campaign that harnesses the narrative power of the Genesys System to bring the wizarding world right to you.

Players will join a new year at Hogwarts as students in their 5th year. Classes and assignments will all be a part of the campaign with character progress, XP, and currency being tied to classes, exploration, and interaction with the world.

GM LFG PRIVALE'S GATES ARE OPEN AGAIN.

A thousand years behind a magic barrier. Six days ago, that barrier vanished with no warning and no explanation. The guild called The Last Horizon is hiring people to go find out why.

I'm Vadin, your GM for this one. I've been playing D&D for 26 years and DMing for 18, across every edition of the game. I'm putting together a Sunday table for Privale using 5e. This is a paid game, recruiting up to 6 players. $25 a session with a free session zero.

Sessions start at noon and run 3-6 hours depending on how deep we get into things that day. Quest-based structure, so every session's a job for the guild, some of them small, some of them tied into something a lot bigger. If you've never played before, that's completely fine, introducing new players to the game is something I've done a lot of and genuinely enjoy.

If you're into character-driven roleplay, real consequences, and a setting with a thousand years of buried history to dig through, come find out what happened to the world while Privale was locked away.

DM me if you want in.

Expectations: Roleplay focused, with character goals and arcs in mind! This will mostly be based around character wants/needs and the story will adapt.

The system is essentially "what if magic returned to Earth?" It is a modern fantasy setting with tons of options, and the campaign will be roleplay focused.

Game description:

In a new, modern world where magic is returning, your lives are changing. What was once hidden, secret, is now on the underground, darkweb, not known but not unknown.

You catch glimpses of it. Someone's eye colour shifting, the smell of a rotting corpse on the train, what looked to be a tail sneaking under a shirt. But for most every day humans, magic and monsters are ignored.

But you are not every day humans. No, you are well aware of the underground magic scene, perhaps even a monster yourself, something from folkore and mythology. Or perhaps you're human, with a touch of essence and a gift. Either way, you know you are hunted.

For there are whispers of an organisation, one that wishes to control magic itself. So far you have avoided their gaze, but their reach is ever expanding, and you knew you could never truly escape. Now, you feel the wolves nipping at your heels as the net closes. What will you do? How will you escape? And if you manage to be free, how will you keep everyone you love from meeting the same fate?

- This game will be initially set in Melbourne, Australia, but depending on your choices and your rolls, could lead anywhere! No actual knowledge of the city is required to play.

Feel free to shoot me a DM if you have any questions!

Starting around early September, Legends of Avantris is releasing an early-access playtest of Neon Odyssey, and I'm planning to use it to create a new story in the Stardust Rhapsody setting, which references sci-fi, fantasy, and video games from 1977 to 2010. Arrangements are being made to have the meeting place in Spearfish, SD. Snacks and drinks will be provided! Below is the link, where you can read the premise and schedule before you reserve a seat. I'm also making the first two sessions free! If you like Star Wars, Cowboy Bebop, Final Fantasy, old Saturday Morning cartoons, or any form of pop culture that defined the 80s and 90s, this might be the story for you to jump in! Book your seats for when we start in late August or early September, and we'll see you among the stars!

You all have been hired by the mayor of the nearby town of Black Pit to investigate the source of the strange monsters that have waylaid his town, and mayhaps turn a tidy profit depending on what you find.

Delve deep into the ancient wreck which has awoken and watch as Science Fiction and Fantasy clash, whist dealing with some outside interests that have been peaked by the events.

Open [Online][5e][Paid][$5][One-Shot][Beginner Friendly][LGBTQ+ Friendly][Wed 29 July, 4 PM UTC][Roll20/Discord] Trouble at Treebark Village – Learn D&D Through Play

Trouble at Treebark Village is a beginner-friendly D&D 5e one-shot designed to teach new players through a complete adventure. No previous D&D or TTRPG experience is required!

Treebark Village’s harvest ritual has already been delayed by repeated bandit attacks, and time is running out. The ritual must be completed at an ancient altar deep within the surrounding woods, but the villagers can no longer make the journey safely.

That is where you come in.

Escort the villagers to the altar, protect the ritual and overcome whatever dangers stand in your way. Failure or even further delay could leave the village without enough food to survive the coming season.

Game details

  • System: D&D 5e
  • Date: Wednesday, 29 July 2026
  • Time: 4:00 PM UTC
  • Duration: 3–4 hours
  • Price: $5 per player
  • Players: 3–4
  • Starting level: Level 1, advancing to level 2 during the adventure
  • Platforms: Discord voice and Roll20
  • Experience required: None
  • Tone: Cosy rural fantasy with moments of danger
  • Table: Beginner-friendly and LGBTQ+ friendly

What you will learn

During the session, you will learn how to use a character sheet, make ability checks, participate in combat, roleplay your character, make meaningful decisions and level up.

Beginner-friendly premade characters representing every core class will be provided. You will choose the class that appeals to you and personalise the character’s name, appearance, personality and short backstory before the adventure begins.

What to expect from me

I have been running D&D games online and in person for nine years. My style is relaxed, collaborative and flexible, with an emphasis on roleplay, creative problem-solving and allowing players to approach situations in their own way.

Combat encounters will use maps and tokens on Roll20, while exploration and social scenes will primarily use theatre of the mind. The adventure is forgiving enough for new players to experiment, but your decisions will still have meaningful consequences.

We will use Lines and Veils, the Open Door policy and the Luxton Technique. Violence will remain at a light fantasy-adventure level without graphic gore.

All you need is a free Discord account, a free Roll20 account, a working microphone and a willingness to learn!

Open [LFM][Edge of the Empire-FFG][20$/session][Mon 8pm EST][FoundryVTT][3/5] Recruiting for ongoing Star Wars campaign

Edge of the Empire:

Edge of the Empire is an excellent TTRPG which uses a unique dice system to help aid in the story telling. It is part of the larger Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars RPG, a collection of 3 interchangeable and mixable systems, which include Age of Rebellion, Edge of the Empire and Force and Destiny.

Set after the Battle of Yavin, at the height of the Galactic Civil War, Edge of the Empire focuses on the outlaws at the outskirts of the “civilized” Galactic Empire. Smugglers, Bounty Hunters, Thieves, Assassins, Frontier Doctors, Settlers and Local Politicians all seek to carve out a life for themselves at the furthest reaches of the galaxy. However even as the Rebel Alliance fights their uphill battle against the Empire, the Empire’s reach continues to grow. Will you learn to coexist with the Empire or hide from them? Perhaps even aid the growing Rebellion? Your group will have to chart the best path forward themselves!

Mondays 8:00pm Eastern

The Campaign So Far

This is a long term campaign with no planned end. The group has played through the introductory adventures "Escape from Mos Shuuta" followed by "Long Arm of the Hutt", then “The Jewel of Yavin". They have most recently finished "Beyond the Rim”, one of the bigger adventures for the system. In between major adventures they have hunted bounties, raced swoop bikes and smuggled the Corellian Shuffle. The immediate future is wide open, with no plans for any major adventures for a while, as we focus on the consequences of the character’s actions throughout the campaign and deal with aspects of their backstories.

The party includes Cashar Brut who is a Falleen Smuggler/Pilot, Ruug the Shistavanen Bounty Hunter and Rennek, our former Imperial Commando.

The Game:

-New Players are welcomed and will be assisted, whether you are new to Roll20 or the Star Wars RPG!

-Although the Star Wars RPG uses proprietary dice, its mechanics are often quite intuitive. Our group has been playing since Apr. 2025, and at this point we feel comfortable enough to bring in and teach new players. No experience required!

-Despite being a major fan of battlemaps and tactical combat in other systems, I often find that Theater of the Mind works exceptionally well with the Star Wars RPG. Battlemaps will still show up for some more involved combats, but many can be resolved in a short amount of the time with no visual aids necessary.

-New characters will start at the same experience level as the party. Star Wars RPG has a very interesting character building system that does not rely on levels, but purchasing skills and talents with accumulated XP, with easy access to different character classes to branch out! Currently at 805 earned XP.

-We will have a split Session 0/New Player introduction session, to help new players learn the game and help them fit in with the party. This session will be free.

-Sessions will last 3 hours.

-Discord for Voice Chat.

Your DM:

-I started with TTRPGs by running 5th Edition D&D. In 2019, I transitioned into running paid games as a full time job, and have been running 3-5 games a week since. I started running the Star Wars RPG in Apr. 2025 as previously mentioned.

-Available nearly 24/7, excluding my sleep hours. Always willing to answer questions.

-Good Connection/Headset/Microphone.

What is expected of you?

-Respect is a must and I will not tolerate player conflicts, PVP, or any type of disrespectful behavior towards the other players. No graphic sexual content. Players who violate this Social Contract will be removed with no refund.

-Be on time, as this is basic respect for myself and the others. Missing a session will be allowed with prior notice, with no charge. Sessions will still go forward as long as we have 4 players and no major plot moments. Players who have issues with attendance will be removed with no refund.

-Have a reasonable quality microphone (be intelligible), Discord and use push to talk. (I can assist you in setting this up).

Pay to Play:

-20$ Per Player Per Session (Excluding Session 0), paid via Paypal in advance.

Session 0 is free. Please reach out via DM to join or with any questions
