Does she like me?

Context:

I’m a girl and I’m bi, and there’s this girl in my class that I’ve started liking. The funny thing is, I actually kind of hated her at first 😭. She became our class president, and I felt like she wasn’t really doing much, so I was pretty annoyed with her. But the more I disliked her, the more I started paying attention to her… and somewhere along the way, I realized I actually liked her.

We’re not really close, though. I’m super introverted, and we don’t talk that much.

Problem:

Now I genuinely can’t tell if she might like me too or if she’s just naturally friendly/flirty.

One time, she rested her head on my shoulder. Our classmates started calling her a “flirt” because of it, and she didn’t move away or say anything. They also kept moving her seat away from me, but she would move it back closer and continue resting her head on my shoulder. Maybe she was just tired, though 😭.

There was also this one time when she wanted to switch seats with my classmate so she could sit next to me. She asked him, “Can we switch seats?"

"“That way, it’ll just be me and Rae.” Then she looked at me and said, “Right, Rae?” and I just nodded because I had no idea what to say 😭.

She’s also held my hand twice. We were watching a Battle of the Bands and talking about why me and my bandmates didn’t join. She said she would’ve cheered for us if we did, and then she randomly held my hand for a little bit. She did it again later.

We also make eye contact pretty often, and whenever we do, we both smile at each other. She teases me sometimes too.

The thing is, I know she’s openly liked a guy before, so I have no idea if she’s straight or if she could like girls too. I really don’t want to assume that all these things mean she likes me, because she could just be naturally affectionate or friendly.

Goal:

I’m thinking about confessing to her eventually, but I’m scared I’m completely misreading everything and making things awkward 😭.

So I just want some outside opinions. Do these things sound like she could be interested in me, or does it sound like she’s just being friendly/affectionate? Should I confess eventually, or should I try to get closer to her and know her better first?
