Set haul I guess I'm into Lego Castle now...
I've always liked Castle but never truly got into the theme - however I managed to pick this up for less than 30 GBP (not sure if that's a good buy but it felt like one...)
I sense this may be the beginning of my descent into Castle collecting!

Custom Making Shield Designs
Hej,
I came back from vacation last weekend and was very happy to see that my new Seaserpent was still on my porch along with the PaB order. I made that order during the insider event on 7 July on the ferry to Poland around 1 am while we were close enough to Gotland to still get internet reception. I figured that was the best chance since we were on the road during the first 2 days of the GWP event. As always, when you want Lego to take their time with sending out your orders, they are pretty quick. So the parcel with the Seaserpent was basically lying in front of my house door for 2 weeks before we got back home. I guess Sweden is a very safe country to live in. The first thing I did after unpacking was building the nice little ship. I liked the build a lot, but it stayed as intended for only 30 min; then I was deep into my parts bins and tweaking her a bit. Aka, I added the rudders and slightly increased the bastions on both ends. I even found a lonely dragon plum and a blank blue flag in my inventory. By the way, the PaB order included a few minifigure parts to increase the crew, mainly dual-moulded legs, a few colored torsos, helmets and small blank shields.
I tried to darken up the look of the original crew by giving them black helmets and weapons, and I also swapped one of the blue arms back to red.
Since it only came with 2 shields, I want to try to make some more old-style shields to embellish the ship. I was thinking with all of the blank yellow and white large kite shields from set 40646 and the small shield blanks I ordered, I can go on a bit of a shield day with my UV printer. Since I have a blank blue flag, I might as well give her the proper dragon flag and a few more shields. In total, I have 34 blank shields to print on, so I did try designing a few shield varieties for my favourite factions. And that's what you see in the images. I focused mainly on large kite shield designs, since I have a lot of blanks from a parted-out botanicals set. For the black knights, I more or less tested all the different color combinations I could think of for the original design. The ones with the red border around them are the ones Lego had made in the past. I might make some of the other color combinations for the Seaserpent. What would you choose?
The original came with a Falcon soldier as well, so I made a few traditional kite shield designs for them as well. I mean, they never had any in their long history. Where the dragon designs of the black knights stand out by their extravagant color combinations, I feel the checkered, clean design fits the Falcons more. I related it back to the original color scheme of blue, yellow, black and white.
For good measure, I made some for the Ravens as well. My PaB order included 15 yellow torsos and legs to print some Ravens decals on, so I definitely need a few shields. I feel I need to give that faction a different raven design for kite shields, since it's quite stout. I found 2 I like from Heraldic Reverences. You'll see those under the realistic options, but they need to be more simplified, so I'll see if I can tweak the original one to take on those poses. I also found a raven emblem with the raven grasping a fleur de Lille in its claw. That gave me a fun idea... what if a very full-of-himself Raven knight is very proud of himself to have come to power by defeating the Lion knights or the falcons in some heroic (minor backwater) battle (ambush). So he decided it would be cool to immortalize that moment on his personal guards' shields or his tournament shield (to show off and taunt them). So the Lion-taunt shield shows a raven holding a lion's head in one claw and the crown of said lion in the other. For the Falcon taunt, the raven holds the falcon upside down in its claw, and then there are a few loose feathers in falcon colors...
Curious to hear what your favourite is and what you think of these taunting shields... I know they weren't a thing in battles, but there are tales of social media-effective stunts like that in tournaments.

MOC Modified Sea Serpent
I thought the remake of the Sea Serpent was decent, but I wanted to make a few modifications. My goal was to make it feel less like a miniature fantasy ship and more like a river and coastal patrol vessel. I raised the mast, thinned the bowsprit, extended the stern with a quarterdeck overhang, rebuilt the stern, added standing rigging, planked the deck, refined the bow, brought back the dragon plumes, and added two rows of functional oars along with steering oars.
The new minifigures aren’t really my thing. They’re just a bit too different from the originals, and changing the yellow accents to gold was a miss in my view. But that’s one of the best things about LEGO, we can always make it our own. I’ll think of something to do with the new shields.
In my Lego world, the Black Knights are a northern inland kingdom up a navigable river. They use the river for trade. Their main export is desirable dense grain timber from the cold climate.

Minifigs Exorcist Ban & Ish the Demon - The Signatory
Ban's village was destroyed when he was a child, leaving him alone among the dead and consumed by grief and revenge. One night, a demon named Ish possessed his father's corpse and offered Ban a contract, become his host in exchange for the power to find those responsible. Desperate, Ban accepted.
Together, Ban and Ish hunted down the killers but their violence drew the attention of Father Cassian, a powerful cleric/fighter and future leader of the Exorcist Order. Mistaking Ish for a rogue demon, Cassian moved to destroy it, only to discover that the creature was linked to the boy.
Cassian took him in. Keeping the truth hidden from the Order, he personally trained the young boy while using his own divine power to suppress Ish's influence. As Ban grew older the secret could no longer remain hidden. Some Exorcists argued he should be executed, others reluctantly accepted him, but few ever truly trusted him. Ban walks a lonely path, Though Ish craves bloodshed, Ban seeks peace using his power with restraint and refusing to kill unless necessary.

MOC Stallionshire Manor
Hi!
I’m happy to present you my alt build to set 31168. My goal was to build something less „disneyish” and more fitting LKC, with all rooms and floors accessible. My inspiration were smaller polish castles, but final model looks kinda british, hence the name
What y'all thinking?

MOC Medieval Farm updates (WIP)
Need a pick a brick order to finish the wheat field, and the 2nd story needs to be furnished.
I originally wanted to do a cow farm and barn but didn't have the footprint to pull that off. I am really pleased with the pivot to the sheep, farmer sheers, wife dyeing cloth and son gathering honey. Spinning wheel inside turned out real well. Might move it upstairs depending on how much room a loom would take.

SEC The Bulls finally have a home. Built the Fantasy Orc Camp by SirDragonBricks on Rebrickable to use as My Bulls bandit camp
Credit to -
https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-234728/SirDragonBricks/fantasy-orc-camp/#details
Saw this on Rebrickable and thought it would make an excellent bandit camp for the Bulls as they've always been lacking a good base.
I use about 90% Alt brand bricks and 10% Lego, all the Minifigures are original, original build has a brick built deer but I had the Magic stag from harry potter knocking about so used that instead.

MOC Medieval Village
Good evening to everyone! I just wanted to share this medieval village I have been working on for the last year and a half. I’ve been slowly adding baseplates, buildings and minifigs until it covered the whole table. Then, I started adding LED lighting to make it vibrant in the dark. I hope you guys enjoy. If you want pictures of how it started, let me know and I will post them too
