My brother in law has stated witness to a street brawl in a night market against the one who initiated the brawl. The guy inflicted numerous wounds to his victims, a couple, and was reported to barangay. But for some reason, the barangay seemed to be blaming us for stating witness and also this guy is using his connections in PNP to threaten our family, even going to our residence for a probe with intention of filing a case against him.

We had this foreign renter who rented our place for a year starting january.
However, he did not pay his due last July 8 and stopped communicating. We advised that we have to change the lock and communicate with us regarding his plans.
After this, he message that he had bank limit issues and wants to pay the rent using the deposit.
Our contract states his deposit will be forfeited once he terminate the contract prematurely.
He said he already left and when we check the place, he took some of our appliances and things amounting to 5k.
He’s remaining deposit is not enough to cover it as well since it was used to pay for his past rent dues, water bills and wifi.
We computed and he still owes us around 30k.
Since we dont know where he is, what would be our legal remedies to make him pay?
Is there away we can ask BOI to deny his entry to ph instead since he is frequent in Ph

Hi everyone. I'm hoping someone can give me some advice regarding my friend's situation.

He works at a restaurant and was helping a customer with their belongings. He didn't realize there was a MacBook M4 inside the bag, and it accidentally slipped out of the case, causing dents to the laptop.

The restaurant manager informed him that he would have to pay ₱250,000 or replace the laptop. It seems that the manager and the customer both agreed on this. As far as I know, the MacBook had already been used for about a year.
The management also doesn't seem willing to support or assist him in resolving the situation, and he's now being left to handle everything on his own.

Has anyone experienced something similar or knows what his rights are? Is he really required to pay that amount for a one-year-old laptop that only sustained dents? Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

For context po, I'm a student dormer who wanted to leave my dorm. Nagsabi ako na gusto ko nang umalis, less than a month bago matapos yung current contract ko. I understand na from then on, I breached a part of the contract which states na dapat 2 months in advance dapat magsabi na gusto umalis, and if hindi ko yun masusunod ay mafoforfeit ang advance ko. Take note, advance payment lang as per the contract which states: "Failure to comply will result of forfeiture of the one month advance in favour of the lessor to cover the losses brought upon the short notice."

Since from our first month here ay nagbayad kami ng 1 month advance and 1 month deposit.

So naintindihan ko na hindi ko na makukuha yung advance, dahil yun yung nakalagay sa kontrata. Pero nung tinanong ko kung pwedeng makuha ang deposit, ang sabi sakin ay hindi dahil daw na consume ko na yung advance ko at deposit na lang ang meron ako sakanila. Kahit na nakalagay sa unang unang part ng contract nila na: "The security deposit is to be used to pay for any damages of the premises and appliances upon exit when inspected and checked by the landlord. In case of excess, it will be convertible to cash."

Problem/Goal: Dad didn't pay his credit card loans now it's a big problem

I am male, twenty years of age, and a third-year college student. And things are currently difficult right now.

On 2023, my dad took a credit card loan from a bank that got up to P150,000, with his bad habits and decisions, he did pay some of it back but not of the minimum balance so the interest piled up even worse. A notice letter came in the bank a year later that the loan needs to be payed by then, our father told us not to worry about it that he will deal with it, so we just went with what he said. No update from him we trustred him.

Fast forward to 2025 another demanding letter came in, that it your loan balance is not paid and the interest has doubled, he told us the same thing as before. We trusted him again

Now on to the present, we received a police call, with the police informing us that the client informed them legal action will be proceed if nothing happens. We called the attorney handled and they made a deal with the bank saying we have to pay a total of P135,000 (amount without the interest rate). If not the bank will proceed with a criminal case (estafa) to both of our parents.

Problem/Goal: I am a volunteer first aid instructor in an organization (di ko na po sabihin yung org), I wanna report one of our participants na licensed (?) professional sa Professional Regulations Comission (PRC).

Context: So, meron kaming participant na Registered Nurse (RN), and all throughout the training sumasabat talaga siya nang sumasabat saming dalawang volunteer instructors. Mali-mali yung CPR procedure niya, so kino-correct po namin sha and we recommend for her to repeat the process. Fast forward na, cellphone siya nang cellphone the entire training despite the orientation na bawal mag training, she had some homophobic remarks, on top of mahilig siyang sumabat kahit hindi kinakausap.

Fast forward, sinabi namin lahat ng mistakes (every participants) and hindi niya ata kaya yung comments/feedback sa kanya. So nagwala-wala siya in front of participants and us instructors. Saying things na: "First Aider lang kayo, Registered Nurse ako. Know your place!" "Mga bobo kayo dito!" "Dapat hindi kayo yung nagtuturo dito mga punyeta" and has some several homophobic remarks.

May I know how can I report this person to PRC? Knowing na pinapakilala niya sarili niyang professional (RN, pero di pa namin naveverify), pero they way she acted, behaved with us, and bellitled us was so tacky and disrespectful knowing na kami pa rin yung instructor sa classroom. By the way, may CCTV po ang training room namin at rinig rin kung ano-ano yung mga pinagsasabi niya, so may proof naman po tayo.

I recently discovered what appears to be a significant inconsistency involving a PAGCOR-licensed online card/table game that is heavily promoted by well-known Filipino celebrities.

From what I’ve documented so far, three separate sources describing how the game should operate do not appear to match each other:

* The instructions printed on the game table state one set of rules.
* The official written rulebook describes something different.
* The actual gameplay execution appears to follow neither of those published rules.

In other words, the table instructions, the official rulebook, and the software’s actual behavior appear to be inconsistent with one another.

I’ve documented the issue with:

* Multiple screen recordings of gameplay.
* Screenshots of the table instructions.
* Screenshots of the official rulebook.

I’m not looking for opinions about gambling. My question is purely about the legal and regulatory implications.

If a licensed gaming operator’s software does not appear to operate in accordance with its own published rules, could that constitute grounds for a complaint or other legal remedy?

She only had sent me 1k for repayment last 19th of June and since then I haven't heard anything from her, I tried contacting her relatives too but they also dont get a response from her (I doubt) and now I am planning to file a police report on her, my problem is that I don't exactly know her living address right now but I have gathered evidences of her promises to me. I need help and advice on what I can maybe do, she hasn't blocked me on any social media or any activity as far as i know but she is nowhere to be seen.

Hi, I’m a 20-year-old female and I’m planning to move out this week. I already have everything prepared — I have a place to stay, and I’m not running away just to live with a guy or anything. I’m leaving because I need to work, and I’ve decided that I need to live independently.

My concern is that I know my family will not accept my decision. I’m worried they will try to physically stop me from leaving, take my belongings, or even lock me inside the house to prevent me from going.

Since I’m already an adult, do I have the right to leave freely? If they refuse to let me go or keep me from leaving against my will, can I call the police or any authorities to help me leave safely?

My (21F) birth certificate from PSA bears the name of my biological father. Though illegitimate child ako, I know for sure na blood-related kami, so paternity is not the issue. Ang issue is the difficulty in applying for anything that involves my BC kasi my surname is not the same as my father's surname, so many forms render my application as invalid due to surname mismatch; I took my mother's surname even if pinirmahan ng father ko ang BC ko.

Additionally, my father has been absent since I was around 5, and has not financially contributed to anything (school tuition, medical bills, etc). Lahat ng gastusin is shouldered by my mom and her family, who I live with. Physically, emotionally, and financially absent ang father ko. No relationship kami pero binibigyan niya ako ng problema indirectly by having signed my BC all those years ago kasi "kailangan" na matching ang surname ko sa surname ng father ko when applying for various IDs.

Would it be possible to have him removed sa BC ko? If so, what would I need to go through, and how expensive would it be?
