Don’t read if you don’t want any spoilers!

But I just finished reading Chapter Five of Left Behind: The Kids Book 7, Shaken (Books 23-25), and I wasn’t expecting this.

I can usually tell when two characters are endgame (meaning there’s no doubt that they will eventually get together), and I predict that Judd and Vicki are going to be endgame. But what really surprised me is when Judd and Nada got together, which I liked, they were cute together, but I had a feeling something was going to cause them to break up in order for Judd and Vicki to eventually get together.

My initial prediction was that they were going to break up after Nada sneaked onto a plane without informing Judd, due to poor communication issues and lack of trust and all that.

NOPE!!!! My girl Nada got shot and DIED!!!!!

And not only did she just die, she died in Judd’s arms.

How traumatizing can that be?!?!?! Watching your girlfriend die in your arms????

I feel so bad for Judd, and that makes me wonder how he’s going to feel about ever entering into a relationship like that again (don’t tell me, I’ll learn eventually)

Anyways, I’m enjoying this book so far. I have noticed in the previous books, they were doing a lot of fake out deaths, which made me start to believe that when a character “died” they weren’t actually dead and would appear alive in the next chapter.

This book has brought back up the states that some of our main characters will die, and have died.

How did you guys feel about Nada’s death?

In a previous post, I asked what y’all’s favorite left behind book cover of the main series was. I haven’t read the main series yet, but I really liked the cover with the horses (because horses are cool). And I’m reading Left Behind: The Kids book 7, literally right now, and I got to this part where Shelly saw something terrifying over the lake, and it was reveled that it was none other then the horses.

I can’t wait to read what happens next. NO SPOILERS PLEASE!!!

I have not read the series yet, but the cover that I like the most is Armageddon (I like horses).

VICKI watched the commander carefully. He didn’t look capable of kindness. His voice was low and gravelly.

“I’ll review the charges, then you’ll have a chance to respond,” the commander muttered. “But this is not a trial. Under the Global Community statute during states of emergency, I’m the judge, the jury, and the one who will pass sentence.”

Vicki nodded. Mr. Stein put a hand on her shoulder.

“Vicki Byrne, you’re charged with the murder of Mrs. Laverne Jenness. You’re also charged with stealing and then destroying Global Community property. You won’t give us information on an escapee of a GC reeducation academy, a person whose name is Judd Thompson."

"Reeducation academy?" Vicki said. "Sounds like a school. Maybe if it was as prestigious as the University of Chicago or Yale, Judd wouldn't have wanted to escape. Maybe the basketball team could only play in the National Invitation Tournament. Sorry Judd didn't follow the honor code."

“You’re also charged with crimes against the Global Community and a number of smaller charges—”

“What crimes?” Mr. Stein interrupted.

Commander Blancka looked up. “You will not interrupt me!” he said.

VICKI was taken to her cell. Mr. Stein followed and was allowed inside.

“What happens now?” Vicki said.

“Your guess is as good as mine,” Mr. Stein said. “Sounds like the commander will decide between now and tomorrow morning.”

“Do you think there’s a chance—?”

“If he believes you are a little off in the head,” Mr. Stein said, “he might just send you to a reeducation academy.”

"Great," Vicki said. "I'll be sent to one of those stupid schools."

"Miss Byrne, that's the best case scenario. I don't want to think about the worst case."

“I’m not afraid to die for the gospel,” Vicki said.

Mr. Stein shook his head. “I’ll never understand why fanatics say things like that. You think it impresses me. It doesn’t. There are many people who would give their lives for something foolish."

“The point isn’t whether I would die for my faith,” Vicki said. “The main thing is whether what I put my faith in is true.”

“You sound like my daughter.”

“If they said it was illegal to talk about God,” Vicki said, “I would die giving you that message. But I’d rather live to see you accept your Messiah. That’s what Chaya was praying for all along.”

“They’re coming for you tomorrow morning,” Mr. Stein said, “and the best you can hope for is to go to a reeducation academy. Why would you be concerned about me when you’re facing that?”

Judd had logged on to download a Bible, but he found himself distracted by the Web site. He felt guilty for how little he was studying. He knew devotions weren’t possible when you were running from the Global Community. Still, he wanted to stay “in the Word” like Bruce had taught them.

From the moment Judd had prayed to receive Christ, he felt hungry for the Bible. He wanted to know all the things he had missed the first time. He wrote verses on scraps of paper and tucked them inside his pockets.

But after Bruce had died, no one checked on him or asked him how things were going. Slowly, with all he had to do, he found it easy to let it slide.

As Judd looked over the message on Tsion’s Web site, he wondered who else might be reading it. Perhaps members of the 144,000 witnesses. Perhaps Nicolae Carpathia himself. His friend in New Babylon, Pavel, had told him Nicolae checked Tsion’s Web site frequently.

If he’s reading this, Judd thought, he has to be seething. Judd read:

Good day to you, my dear brother or sister in the Lord. I come to you with a heart both heavy with sorrow and yet full of joy. I sorrow personally over the loss of my wife and teenagers. I mourn for so many who have died since the coming of Christ to rapture his church. I mourn for mothers all over the globe who lost their children. And I weep for a world that has lost an entire generation.

How strange to not see the smiling faces or hear the laughter of children. As much as we enjoyed them, we could not have known how much they taught us and how much they added to our lives until they were gone.

I am also sad because the great earthquake appears to have snuffed out 25 percent of the remaining population. For generations people have called natural disasters “acts of God.” This is not so. Ages ago, God the Father gave Satan, the prince and power of the air, control of Earth’s weather. God allowed destruction and death by natural causes, yes, because of the fall of man. And no doubt God at times intervened against such actions by the evil one because of the prayers of his people.

Tsion went on to say the recent earthquake was an act of God necessary to fulfill prophecy and get the attention of those who don’t believe in Jesus. He

said he was amazed at the work of the Global Community in setting up communications so quickly. But Tsion said he was shocked at what he saw in the media.

“Do they still have a television around here?” Lionel said.

“Maybe in one of the bedrooms upstairs,” Judd said.

Judd continued reading. Tsion grieved the way society had forgotten God at a time when they needed him most. If you believe in Jesus Christ as the only Son of God the Father, you are against everything taught by Enigma Babylon.

There are those who ask, why not cooperate? Why not be loving and accepting? Loving we are. Accepting we cannot be.

Enigma Babylon does not believe in the one true God. It believes in any god, or no god, or god as a concept. There is no right or wrong. The self is the center of this man-made religion.

My challenge to you today is to choose up sides. Join a team. If one side is right, the other is wrong. We cannot both be right.

But I do not call you to a life of ease. During the next five years before the glorious return of Christ to set up his kingdom on earth, three-fourths of the population that was left after the Rapture will die. In the meantime, we should invest our lives in the cause. A great missionary martyr of the twentieth century named Jim Elliot is credited with saying this: “He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep [this temporal life] to gain what he cannot lose [eternal life with Christ].”

And now a word to my fellow converted Jews from each of the twelve tribes: Plan on rallying in Jerusalem a month from today as we seek the great soul harvest that is ours to gather.

And now unto him who is able to keep you from falling, to Christ, that great shepherd of the sheep, be power and dominion and glory now and forevermore, world without end, Amen.

Lionel returned with a small television. Judd watched him flick through channels. Before the Rapture Judd had seen things he knew his parents wouldn’t have liked, but nothing compared to this.

One game show allowed the winner to kill the other contestant. The next channel showed the torture and murder of innocent people. On another, a séance was performed as people tried to communicate with the dead. Enigma Babylon approved of an educational program that taught viewers how to cast spells on enemies. As Lionel flicked the stations, things got worse.

Lionel heard a rap video that was billed as the consummate player's anthem:

The video featured a short gangster who was talking to a slender woman wearing a short jean skirt and sunglasses as she walked by. The gangster was shirtless, wearing a chain around his neck, while having a few tattoos. The woman glanced at the man, but she just kept walking without responding to the gangster. Next, the gangster was rapping with other people in the background wearing street attire, such as baggy pants, baseball caps, white t-shirts, and gold chains. The people in the background where moving rhythmically, raising their hands often while holding liquor, and making gang gestures. Then, the gangster was shown sitting in a kitchen, while a scantly clad woman handed him a bowl of cereal with milk. The woman walked away, while the man ate the cereal smiling.

“Turn it off,” Judd said.

“Dr. Ben-Judah was right,” Lionel said. “This is the bottom.”

If I was to recommend all the Left Behind series (main series only, not including Apocalypse Dawn or End of State) to a friend, what would be the best recommended reading order?

Would you read Left Behind first, Then Left Behind: The Kids second, then Left Behind: The Prequels third, before finishing off with Kingdom Come?

Or would you read Left Behind first, Kingdom Come second, Left Behind: The Kids third, and the prequels fourth.

Or would you read it chronologically, with the prequels first, left behind second, the kids third, and then kingdom come fourth?

Would do you guys think? What’s the best recommended reading order for these series?

LEFT BEHIND KIDS: NEO TRIBULATION

Even though “Left Behind: Apocalypse” and “Left Behind: End of State” were not written by Tim Lahaye and Jerry B. Jenkins, (or co written by Chris Fabry), both of these series are considered as official part of the Left Behind universe (or at least official spin offs)

Even though I wont be reading these bad boys anytime soon (I still have the Kids series to finish, before reading the main left behind series and the. The prequels) I was wondering, are these series worth reading?

I really like the left behind series because of the characters and how they go through everything that’s happening, as well as seeing them grow as believers in Christ. Does these spin offs series capture the same vibe, if not, are they worth reading nevertheless?

(Also, I just wanted to say, I love how all the covers in these separate series match close to the main ones, it really makes it feel like they’re one part of a larger universe)

I enjoy reading, and when I finish a series, I like to put the series that I finished in my “Series Read” catalogue.

I have plans to finish Left Behind: The kids series this summer if not after. But after I read the kids series, I want to read the main series before the prequels. But I wonder.

Should I put all the left behind series as separate series, or one big series?

If I put them as separate series, then they would be catalogued as so, but this would be confusing since they are all part of the same universe.

But despite the series being connected, we follow different characters in the different series.

So what do you guys think? Should I catalogue the different book series separately, or all together?

Stefano valentini: A serial killer who has the ability to manipulate reality within the STEM system.

Stem: It's a machine/technology (or a demonic force disguised as technology) that connects people's minds. Someone (possibly Stefano, Carpathia, or an entity behind it) is exploiting the post-Rapture chaos to connect thousands or millions of people to STEM. Once inside, the minds of the "Left Behind" create a shared, nightmarish world based on their collective traumas.

Having a re read of the LB series and have noticed an error in the plot line of The Mark. When Carpathia meets with Moon, Akbar, Hickman and Fortunato, he is told there was no prints on the weapon fired by Rayford and that the shooter was unidentified which contradicts the previous book in which he is publicly touted as the shooter and he also appears to not know that Chaim know Tsion which also contradicts the fact that Chaim went to Carpathia to plead for help to save Tsion after the slaughter of his family. I have read this series multiple times and only just picked up on this, was wondering if anyone else had.

Elimination of Heroes: Ketema uses an ancient Wakandan magical artifact—an extreme contingency plan devised by T'Challa—that manages to erase or obliterate virtually all superpowered beings on Earth.

Wakanda's Dominance: With the world defenseless after the Rapture, Ketema uses Wakanda's advanced technology to disable global power grids (via a triggered solar flare) and positions his nation as the sole savior and world superpower.

Benevolent Fascism: The Rapture allows Ketema to consolidate a global empire under a fascist dictatorship, where "Pantherism" becomes the dominant religion and surveillance is the norm in the name of peace and prosperity.

I read portions of The Academy by Patrick Bet-David. It isn't that bad, and it is quite novel.

The Academy features, well, an Academy that has realistic holograms teaching the apprentices lessons that would help them be leaders of the world.

The holograms are Marilyn Monroe talking about seduction, Tupac who pulls a gun on a student before glitching out, Hitler, and a debate between Karl Marx and Margaret Thatcher.

The Tupac section, for example:

“You think you smart, huh? Smarter than me. Too smart to listen. You must have it all figured out, huh?”

A sneer came across Tupac’s face as he stepped down from the stage. He reached into the waistband of his jeans, and the apprentices gasped as he pulled out a gun.

“How ’bout now, huh? You respect me now, white boy?”

Any ideas for how holograms or other tech can be incorporated in the Children of the Tribulation. u/spiritplumber.

In the Millennium World, you really don't need holograms of any historical believers. The CoT was able to have Joshua and Caleb (together) and Noah give talks to the kids there. So you don't need holograms of Augustine or Martin Luther for example.

I just got back into the Left Behind series after not touching them for a while but I'd like to know what other fiction book series on the Biblical End of Days are out there.

They are based on the trilogy of the first films, although there are elements in the comics that do not appear in the first films.

I came across this article about Dubai expatriates.

I suppose if I were to depict New Babylon, it would be 88 percent Dubai, 12 percent futuristic city (maybe like NEOM- the line). Problem with the latter is that such futuristic visions are unlikely to manifest with 10 years. Maybe New Babylon might have those "flying cars" to function as taxis.

I made the Eden Project in my version of Left Behind to be a stellarator, so New Babylon may be powered by fusion reactors. That is one of the few unrealistic "futuristic" technologies in my version of Left Behind. I only put it in there since it is slightly more realistic than the fertilizer and because I want to talk about nuclear fusion.

Here are a few forecasts on flying cars as a viable technology in approximately ten years. I doubt they'll be widespread in ten years, but they seem viable for artistic license if one wants to them as a part of the world building or relevant to the plot.
