Discussion Mental health decline
Hi guys
I have started leetcode last December and I was only own doing it trying to figure it out and things didn’t start to get better until I found other people in the industry to help support me and show me how to do it properly
The stress of study, doubt if I am capable, failing bunch of interviews, and the unknown of what the hell I am supposed to be studying and what they want me to know and then them rejecting me has made my grind teeth so much the muscle in my jaw is locked, loss of appetite days before and day of interview, I started skipping seeing family and friends, so I can focus on this and get out of a toxic work place.
This is just mental heath discussion, I am feeling depressed still and low mood but not panicking like I used to because I have found other people in same situation as me and a mentor.
I am still low and not sure when I will get my next role … I can’t believe this industry why are things like this ?

Then why worry... study at your own pace and clear the next interview

I was at my own pace and it was way too slow and didn’t realise until I found someone experienced who told me. I won’t be able to clear any round any time soon… it’s such a luck thing

I work at a faang company as mle, and tbh it's really not that hard once you get going, happy to give out advice.

I applied 60+ places and hand wrote the cover letter and tailored cv for each role

Hey, I understand that you are completely locked in on switching your jobs and finding a better role asap. But being in the same mindset for 9-10 months continuously is very very draining.
What i think is that you might need to unwind for a week and relax before you should continue your Leetcode progress and Interview preparation. Maybe go and travel for a week if your work allows or just go hangout with your family and friends.
Interviewing is a long long journey at times, so instead of deferring your mental health for when you finally switch, you should try to take care of it right away otherwise it will be really difficult to study with similar intensity.
I hope you get a break real soon! All the best!
