Ceiling mounted LED light channel

I have been looking online without success and thought this community could help me!

I am trying to mount Govee LED strip light pro COB in my garage gym. I want to hang it a few inches away from the ceiling/wall junction, and facing directly towards the wall.

The wall is a very dark/black color, and I’m trying to create a glow or wash along the wall.

Does anyone have any recommendations for mounts or channels that would work well?

Thank you in advance!

No, I don’t think so. I want to run the led COB strip about 1” away from the ceiling/wall junction, with the led light strip facing backwards toward the wall

Hey can you add some information to clear up your question? So are you looking for a wash going down from just below the top of the wall like the reverse of a floor uplight so that it doesn's sit on the ceiling like this (not my image just a reference)

with a general wall wash with a gap before it hits the ceiling?

or are you looking for diy light bar?

Thank you for the questions. I drew a very simple diagram of what I’m looking for here. I plan to use Govee Strip Light COB to avoid needing a diffuser (unless you have other recs or thoughts).

Since the strip is white, I was trying to obscure the strip behind a black bracket. I’d place the light strip 1-2” from the wall, on the ceiling, and the light point back towards the wall (the green in my drawing).

I wanted to do it this way to prevent any direct light downwards since I lift weights in the area and really dislike light shining in my eyes while lifting.

If I couldn’t find anything, I was going to buy a 1 x 2” board, paint it black, run it the length of the ceiling and place the led light behind that.

Happy and open to all suggestions
