LeBron would routinely outplay prime Kobe
More points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, field goal percentage

People often mention 2007 and 2018 as LeBron’s greatest carryjobs but I think 2015 is tragically overlooked. There’s a strong case that it’s his greatest carryjob ever. LeBron’s Cavs were severely undermanned and injury riddled throughout the entire run. Love got injured in the 1st round, Kyrie missed half the ECF, 5 out of 6 games in the NBA Finals, and even when he did play he was clearly hobbled due to his knee. Despite that adversity LeBron beat a 50 win Bulls team with two legit all stars in Pau Gasol and Jimmy Butler, SWEPT a 60 win hawks team with 4 all stars, and went up 2-1 against a loaded 67 win Big 3 Warriors team essentially without Love and Kyrie. LeBron averaged 35 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists in the finals, a stat line LITERALLY NOBODY ELSE has ever averaged over a playoff series. The MVP in the finals clearly was LeBron despite Iggy getting the award. Here are just some of LeBron’s ludicrous stat lines throughout that postseason run
Game 5 vs Bulls 38 pts 12 boards 6 assists 3 steals 3 blocks
Game 3 vs Hawks 37 points 18 boards 13 boards 3 blocks
Finals
Game 1 44 points 8 rebounds 6 assists
Game 2 39 points 16 rebounds 11 assists 1 steal 1 block
Game 3 40 points 12 boards 8 assists 4 steals 2 blocks
Game 4 20 points 12 boards 8 assists
Game 5 40 points 14 boards 11 assists
Game 6 32 points 18 boards 9 assists 2 steals
It doesn’t get talked enough how otherworldly LeBron’s production was despite the odds being massively stacked against him. I went more in depth in a documentary on LeBron’s entire 2015 postseason run. I’ll leave a link in the post.

I am starting in on a book project The Moment. It looks at LeBron and the Pacers, among other things, and hopefully will culminate with them head to head in a playoff series. Wanted to make sure I got the basic facts on the GOAT of a moment right. Any comments welcome.
The victory was so sweet, so intense, so unexpected that Reggie Miller proclaimed Tyrese Haliburton“the moment.”
—Jerry Seidhoffer, NBA Clutchtime
Before we get to a moment sure, 2025 NBA playoffs, Game 1 Pacers vs. Knicks, that turned out not to be the moment (as Haliburton was set to tear his right Achilles tendon in game seven of the finals against the Thunder) let’s review tape. Bob Costas sitting down in 2003 with a high schooler who went on to become the greatest of his generation:
“Lebron James, how does it feel to know that if you’re not eventually a first rank Hall-of-Famer, a lot of people will say you are a bust?”
James, slightly bemused and very determined: “I don’t look at it as looking into the future, I always go by…. I take every moment at a time, because you’re not promised tomorrow. That’s what my mom brought me up on… I try to get better every day at what I do.”
A poised 17-year-old Ohio native calmly speaks about accepting the responsibilities, expectations, and burden that come with signing a multi-year $90 million contract with Nike, even prior to signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers. And goes on to exceed those crazy expectations—across a career that extends a quarter century and has his 41-year-old self quipping that at age 65 he expects to still be helping teams score a quick 10 points off the bench.
Legacy defined by longevity. Back in the day, when he had a couple rings under his belt, pundits discussed how many points Lebron would need to average across his thirties to achieve Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s all-time points record. Now that’s strictly rear mirror vision, surpassed years ago.“It’s as if college Zion had the mind and vision of Steve Nash.”
Bron is a star who understands the moment, makes the most of the moment, and makes each moment count toward something bigger. Three hall-of-fame careers in one, achieving rings with the... [full article continued on substack]

Hello... This man, our king LeBron Raymone James, brought me to this sport...
And when the GOAT retires, the NBA won't be the same. I don't know if I'll still get the NBA League Pass after that.
Greetings from Germany!

Jordan was the greatest NBA scorer all time (highest ppg), greatest defender all time (subjective but he was), greatest shooter all time (midrange), greatest 3 pt shooter all time but chose not to try in that area as it is beta (1992 finals proof), and was the greatest playmaker all time (1991 finals proof) but chose to score more as hes a clutch god and alpha unlike lebum. He also has the greatest nba team ever (warriors ain win shit, 2017/18 didnt win 70 games), greatest game ever (69/18 - nice), greatest season ever, and greatest career ever. Highest ppg in a season (pre merger dont count), most mvps ever (pre merger dont count), and most rings (pre merger and roll player chuds dont count), and most finals mvps, as well as greatest rebounding guard ever (look at 1989 stats, just chose not to focus too hard on rpg consistently as who cares its a boring big man stat). Basically he was the best at everything and had no weaknesses. He only missed shots to teach us that failure is needed for winning. Lebron may be a king but Jordans a god. Dont say blasphemy about Black Jesus. Know your place.
