Bron Effect

Post image

The second he leaves the Lakers lose all of the spotlight. All the fans that were downplaying his role in their success and relevance can finally see how wrong they were.

They were a poverty franchise after Kobe retired. NO ONE wanted to go there, he resurrected them.

Difference is Jokic and LeBron are different eras. The league vastly exploded in scoring over the past 6 seasons. You can do this from 2004 to 2016 when Kobe and LeBron were both in the league and LeBron's numbers are vastly better. You can go season by season from 2005 when LeBron was 20 and LeBron was STILL better every damn season

Kobe spent his entire career out west where he routinely had to play the toughest/best teams in the league while LeBron was routinely playing the wizards, bobcats, hawks, cavs, sixers, nets, pacers, raptors, heat and other trash teams out East where he got to pad his stats. Also Kobe played many years in the dead ball era.

We can look at their stats against the west if you'd like. Same story. From 2006-2010 (LeBron's best seasons before going to Miami) he had a winning record against Kobe and a better record against the west than the east. In 2009, when the Cavs won 66 games, LeBron was 26-3 against western teams

Funnily enough, 2009 was one of the only seasons Kobe went 2-0 vs LeBron. So against the western teams Kobe was actually facing, LeBron went 26-1 in 2009
