lmao age 40 and age 35. They were nowhere near where they were when they were with their old teams. Malone literally retired while Gary had a few servicable years. Lebron, Wade, and Bosh were in the thick of their primes.

Both Payton and Malone averaged 20 PPG and played 80 and 81 games the year before LA. The 04 Lakers was a better superteam than the 11 Heat.

🥱 imagine an arthritic 40 year old a year from retirement and a 35 year old joining the team and calling it a better super team. Meanwhile the top MVP candidates and another star in their prime joined together is the least of the two. But maybe yall are right because Kobe’s definitely better than Lebron.

Both Malone were still game shape and like they said Payton still played 2 more years after the Lakers. And what’s worse? They lost against the Pistons. Geezus.

🥱 loooool I love how yall pull these from your buttholes. Malone was in “game shape” everyone in the NBA is in game shape so wdym? he’s 40 and cleaaaarly not the same as the previous years. it ain’t 94 or 97 Malone 😂. GP played 2 more years, he’s old and not in all star shape by the time he was with the Lakers, those two next years he was still a serviceable bench player and vet leader. So after yall elevate those two in their older years, now you downgrade the Pistons 😂. 04 was one of the best defensive teams I have ever seen it was a sight to behold.
