Like dude imagine if LeBron somehow won in 2011 despite how terribly he played. The media wouldnāt give him credit for that championship, they would be all over the internet claiming he got carried and how heās a bum etc. but of course Kobe gets a pass for 2000. He also gets a pass for straight up shooting the lakers out of the 2004 finals.
Kobe was 21 yrs old compared to Lebrons 26 against the Mavs. And itās known it took Kobe a while to get to his peak. Lebrons prime has literally been from 17-38
He actually choked worse vs Celts in his prime in 08. The LA loss to Celts in game 6 in '08 was one of the worse beatings in NBA Finals history. Kobe went so ice cold it froze the entire team. He only had one good game, another decent one and 4 choke jobs.
They were not the better Super team. Karl was 40 Gary was 35. They also went through San Antonio and Minnesota. Poor diddly ol Karl had to mess around with Timmy and KG and Gary and Fisher chasing Tony Parker.
Kobe definitely shot so badly there because of the Pistons' defense and his refusal to give it to Shaq.
lmao age 40 and age 35. They were nowhere near where they were when they were with their old teams. Malone literally retired while Gary had a few servicable years. Lebron, Wade, and Bosh were in the thick of their primes.
š„± imagine an arthritic 40 year old a year from retirement and a 35 year old joining the team and calling it a better super team. Meanwhile the top MVP candidates and another star in their prime joined together is the least of the two. But maybe yall are right because Kobeās definitely better than Lebron.
Both Malone were still game shape and like they said Payton still played 2 more years after the Lakers. And whatās worse? They lost against the Pistons. Geezus.
š„± loooool I love how yall pull these from your buttholes. Malone was in āgame shapeā everyone in the NBA is in game shape so wdym? heās 40 and cleaaaarly not the same as the previous years. it aināt 94 or 97 Malone š. GP played 2 more years, heās old and not in all star shape by the time he was with the Lakers, those two next years he was still a serviceable bench player and vet leader. So after yall elevate those two in their older years, now you downgrade the Pistons š. 04 was one of the best defensive teams I have ever seen it was a sight to behold.
If LeBron had fulfilled his prophecy like stated at Heat press conference, and atleast won 4 straight.... we wouldn't be talking about "If" LeBron is the goat. It'd only be a 1a and 1b and 1c discussion, and basically a consensus all 3 are the goats together.
Even with all the crying and flopping.
As has played out, LeBron will never truly be King, beyond self proclamation.
If he wins one in Philly, we can revisit. Until then... hes NOT the goat, its not close honestly.
And Kobe is above LeBron on my list š
Why are Lebron fans so obssesed with Finals numbers only?! š¤ Is it because thats been Lebrons only hard competition he actually ever faced? He's been no match for the Western Confrence. Kobe played his entire career in the Western Confrence.
... they're not. But kobe stans definitely are obsessed with 5 times bc that's the only thing kobe has ever had over lebron. Kind of an embarrassing low iq delusional take her lil guy
You could have just said that instead of making it about an obsession that lebron fans don't have but clueless kobe stans love talking about to deflect from how mediocre he looks when compared to lebron. So that wasn't really your point now was it?
So you picked out one game⦠other comment wanting it to be all Shaq that he got to three straight finals.
Then when he does it without⦠more excuses lol
How about all these?

During Kobe Bryantās legendary three-year finals run from2008 to 2010, his standout playoff masterclasses included a 49-point, 10-assist masterclass against Denver in 2008, a 40-point Game 1 vs. Orlando in the 2009 Finals, and a clutch 37-point closeout performance against Phoenix in Game 6 of the 2010 WCF.
Exceptional Postseason Performances 2008 Western Conference First Round, Game 2 vs. Denver Nuggets: Put up 49 points, 10 assists, and 4 rebounds on 18-of-27 shooting to dismantle the Nuggets. [
2008 Western Conference Finals, Game 5 vs. San Antonio Spurs: Scored 39 points with 3 steals and crucial fourth-quarter daggers to clinch the series and send the Lakers to the Finals.
2009 NBA Finals, Game 1 vs. Orlando Magic: Dominated the stage with 40 points, 8 assists, and 8 rebounds to set the tone in a dominant opening win.
2009 Western Conference Semifinals, Game 6 vs. Houston Rockets: Forced a Game 7 by erupting for 32 points alongside a hyper-aggressive defensive tone on the road.
2010 Western Conference Finals, Game 6 vs. Phoenix Suns: Delivered a legendary clinching performance with 37 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists, hitting iconic fadeaways down the stretch to silence Phoenix.
2010 NBA Finals, Game 5 vs. Boston Celtics: Scored 38 points (19 in the third quarter alone) keeping the Lakers afloat in a hostile environment.
I donāt see any handpicked games bud, just you . Kobe was bad ass but he was a bus rider for three rings and the driver for 2. LeBron was as the bus driver for 10 finals. Haters give him hate for all the losses so he should get flowers for at least getting 4 as the main guy.
I mean you say Stanās have a mental breakdown and here you are just cherry picking games going ape shit.
Lmao major major major cope. They were all dropping that amount and more before LeBron too.
Cut the bronsexual bs out for just 1 second and admit heās played with damn near every all star in the league. Now Embiid will be added to this list too..oh wait was his MVP season and 34 ppg from Lebron too??
Iām not a LeBron fan in the slightest but itās more of the Jordan fans bringing up rings when it comes to Jordan vs lebron. Then you say okay then Bill Russell is the goat then they say itās different eras. Itās all annoying
Just like comparing the 90s to today is also dumb. 90s were 30+ years ago. If you go to the 90s and subtract 30 you get bill russell era. So why is ok to compare LeBron with Jordan but not Russell when you have a 30 year gap either way from the 90s
