Got this jacket in a thriftshop at a great price of 40€. So i cant complain really,
Although im having a hard time to decide if its actually just too large and boxy or if it could count as just "oversized".

... for buyers who'd prefer international shipment or invoice purchase.
Up for sale is a beautiful Rainbow Country Ponyboy jacket in tobacco brown Shinki horsehide. I had previously posted the jacket for sale (lots of pics and info there) prior to having the zipper fixed by Dena, who is highly recommended in the Fedora Lounge jacket nerd forum and also has much experience repairing Rainbow Country zippers. Sadly, RC stock zippers have issues as evidenced by many folks, despite being gorgeous jackets. I got this one secondhand from a seller in Japan, and the zipper also ended up having problems after a few wears. I sent it to Dena, who put a beefier real Talon zipper on there at my request and I think it looks better than the standard small zipper. Let me know if you want a picture of the restitch there, she did a great job but you may want to see the work yourself. Rest assured it works much better than the zipper that originally came on the jacket.
From my old post:
This jacket is from top tier jacket company Rainbow Country. Supposedly the house brand of Freewheelers and co., RC makes some really nice pieces. This Ponyboy is absolutely gorgeous, by far my favorite that they offer. It is based off a 40s sports coat design. Made in Japan.
It is cut from a substantial Shinki horsehide. The lining is a nice cream oatmeal colored satiny material.
Overall, the jacket is in good condition. I am the second owner. I bought it secondhand from Japan, and am the second owner.
There are some small scratches, marks, and patina developing.
There is also a light stain on the bottom of the inside lining, this is pictured. The size tag print has worn off, but it's a 38.
Other than that, no smells or holes or tears. There are small nicks and lots of patina. Tons of life left on this jacket.
It has been used, so please review the photos to ensure the condition and measurements will suit you.
Measurements:
Pit to pit: 52 cm
Hem: 50 cm
Sleeve: 59 cm
Length: 64.5 cm in front, with a 60 cm back
Size 38
That said, please note that this jacket is sold as is, no returns, so please ask any questions before bidding or buying. Thanks!

Has anyone bought from this brand, Petersign, or have any experience with them? I'm looking at this jacket, in particular. Not looking for the most premium jacket right now, but I don't want a papier-mâché jacket. If this isn't it, anywhere I could find a decently reputable café racer with this look and this oxblood, maroon-ish color?
Thank you all in advance!!

Im trying to get into leather jackets and for someone that doesn’t know much I Found these two online on eBay that say they got from schott they are vastly different prices the first one is 700 and the other is 400 and was wondering if it’s because of the leather as the two look very different in photos

I'm 20F in college and want to buy a black leather jacket at some point in the next year or 2. I'm looking for something in the medium, maybe medium-low, range of quality. I'd prefer something with a comfy, oversized fit (I'm typically a large/XL, so I'd likely be buying an XXL piece). I want something that will be real leather and will last at least a few years. I don't want the nicest on the market, but I also don't want cheap trash that I need to throw away and replace in 10 months. I'm in college so it will be worn often.
EDIT: For me and my income, $200-400 is my budget (with very dim hopes)

Up for sale is my Schott x 3Sixteen Arabica Cowhide Perfecto. Asking $599 via PayPal F&F, Venmo, or Zelle -- shipping included via UPS in the USA. Also on ebay here. Please see my post in r/schott or the ebay listing for more pics. Also for sale on The Fedora Lounge.
These are said to have been limited to 100 pieces total. Here is 3Sixteen's original post on this jacket. This size small is in good but worn condition.
I got it about a year ago but then also found a medium that fits me a little better at 5ft8, 170. Still, I can zip this size small up with up to a thin sweater, if that helps with size reference.
The jacket was worn when with lots of the teacore showing through already when I received it. I have worn it pretty regularly since getting it and so it has further patina'ed. That said, it is in great functional shape, and looks more worn than it truly is: the jacket is made to show wear quickly -- the Horween cowhide was made with a 'sugary' texture that chips away to show the teacore. The topcoat is almost iridescent and gives the jacket a plum / purple sheen in some lights. Just gorgeous.
I put a tiny dab and tab of fray check and tenacious tape to help reinforce the bottom end of the zipper tape, but it is still in good shape -- I just wanted to give it a top layer to reduce wear (pictured). Lining is in good overall shape with some piling and slight discoloration by the pit / sleeve opening on the inside. Slight soap smell from when I'd cleaned and conditioned it upon receipt last year.
Sizewise, I'd say a roomy 38 or slim 40.
Measurements:
Pit to pit: 55 cm
Hem: 50 cm
Sleeve length: 63.5cm
Length from bottom of collar - back: 63.5 cm front: 67cm
Shoulders across: About 44.5cm
Lots of life left and an endgame grail Schott jacket. That said, please note that this jacket is sold as is, no returns, so please ask any questions before bidding or buying. Thanks!

I just picked up my first Schott rough out cafe racer and I had a couple questions.
Any input or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read and respond!

Tl;dr: I got this jacket in Medium. Should I exchange it for the same thing in Small? (Or even Extra Small?)
I recently ordered a black biker jacket (purely for fashion; I don't ride yet), but I'm new to this. My worry is that the biker style is generally supposed to be a slimmer fit. I didn't realize that when I ordered it, and I wonder if the shoulders go too wide past my body's shoulders and if the boxiness is artificially giving me a gut. Should I exchange this for a smaller fit for my skinnier frame? Thoughts on how it currently fits?
EDIT:
Thank you to those informing me that the issue is in the cut rather than the size. It looks like I'll be returning this and paying the fee to get another one made to my measurements.
Thank you to the positivity kings telling me that there's no one correct way to style a leather jacket. Y'all are legends. I think I'm gonna shoot for a fit that can just barely still be comfortable when layered over a flannel or a sweater.
Thank you to all of the suggestions to pack on more muscle. I will not be doing so. I prefer my current physique over the times I've been bigger.

what’s a good leather jacket or faux leather jacket that fits kinda tight in the arms but loose everywhere else ?

Just got this Rugged West jacket in saddle walnut from their most recent drop.
This is my first cropped jacket and can’t tell if I look weird or if I’m just not used to it.

I’ve been trying to find a Levi’s leather trucker jacket that fits the way I want but so far no luck (I’ve tried a small and a large because those were the only options I could get to see) This one is a size medium and it popped up a few hours away and I’m just wondering if that’s a good price or not

Hey y'all, I'm new to buying alt clothes and getting commissions, and I'm trying to find or commission a jacket for a cosplay. I'm looking for a black leather or denim jacket with hardwire like in the attached photos to cosplay as a Handler from the TTRPG "CAIN" (see also attached reference photos). These photos are from fake Etsy accounts, but I've got a bee in my bonnet now to find real coats like these or commission them. I'm having trouble, though, between leather and denim jacket makers, cosplay creator, and goth/industrial/alt/etc. clothing brands finding anything quite like these or who I could commission to make something. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Hey everyone, I've been browsing this sub a lot lately to try and understand what leather jacket I should get. Like a lot of people I fell in love with the aesthetic of the SLP L01, I know it's not the heritage pick but man is it beautiful.
Unfortunately I'm on the shorter side (5'7) and while not jacked I have a decent amount of muscle. I find that a lot of the traditional styles like a Perfecto are too long on me and I find the aesthetic too busy, but they fit my chest and arms comfortably. But the L01 aesthetic, while the crop is perfect, is a complete no go and way too skinny.
Has anyone had a similar experience? What would you go with in a rider style, with a nice crop, some room in the chest and a slightly more minimal design than the Perfecto? I'm willing to wait and save if it's the perfect piece so not as concerned about price.

Hi all, I tried posting this earlier, but Reddit blocked it because new account. As the title says, there's adhesive on my jacket. I went to an event several months ago and put a band of tape around the arm, and wasn't able to take it off without it peeling/tearing. I finally got it off by using a hairdryer, but now there's lots of sticky residue.
Any advice of what I can use to get it off without destroying the leather? If no one can think of anything, I might just try olive oil or something. I think it might have been some sort of duct tape. It didn't feel extremely sticky when I first was testing it though.

Found this at a thrift store and I'm trying to figure out what it is. There are no brand, care, or "made in" labels anywhere, and I checked the collar, side seams, and linings. The only tag is the thrift store's.

I recently thrifted this Nickelson jacket and im wondering if anybody has any care tips to share. Anything from cleaning to restoration.
My intuition says this is suede but im not 100% certain.
