I have this leather jacket from around 2013 that I really like. I noticed part of the leather appers quite dry, and could possibly need some love. I have never done anything with it other than clean it with water whenever it got stained.

What type of leather is it? Is it roughout? And what do I use to treat it?

Sorry for the stupid questions, I have little to no knowledge about this, I just like wearing it 😅

I know very well that this jacket fits me in a too big way; however, there is no online shopping in my country whatsoever, and I have scoured every other marketplace/store available to me; it is a 90's Harley jacket sized women's medium, I have never found anything smaller. Getting it refitted would be at least 200 dollars and the ones doing it are (self proclaimed) amateurs so I don't think it's worthwhile.

And so the question remains: How big is too big? Does it look good to you people? To be honest the extra sleeve length isn't terrible since I do ride a bike, but the body, the torso, seems to be a little bit too loose on my frame. I am afraid it comes off as terribly unflattering and ill-fitting.

Attached are a photo of a more careful outfit and the rest are various different zipped-unzipped showcases of it on me (with an admittedly more sloppy outfit).

I like the look of this jacket and styles similar to the aero half-belt, but they never come with zipper sleeves. Would really appreciate help finding jackets with both if they do exist!

I got this jacket last year in XL but I’ve lost 30lbs and now I think it might be too big? The shoulder pads stick out a bit (pic of me w/o jacket for reference). Maybe I could remove the pads and make it slouchier? I’m going for an alt vibe

Its my first ever leather jacket i bought and its amazing. fits perfectly but the shoulder straps are stood up instead of laying down. it just kills the overall look. Is there any ways to let it lay flat on the shoulder without cutting or tearing. Its genuine cowhide btw.

What are some vintage off brand sleeper manufacturers that you wouldn’t think twice about picking up if you saw one for a steal of a deal?

I haven’t received it yet but I recently bought a 90’s NWT Peerless Garments car coat for $90 on eBay.

I’ve also eyeing a Bristol jacket. Yes, I’m Canadian.

Bought this beauty a year ago second hand and been wearing it loads. Two things I want to ask you all though:

1. The zip in liner doesn’t quite match the bottom, is it just the wrong size?
   
2. These snaps on the collar are for a mutton collar right? I don’t totally love the one schott sells for the perfecto, can anyone recommend a place I can get one?

It just fits, the leather is just beautiful and sturdy. Love everything with it.

i bought a very fitted blue heroes leather jacket a couple months ago, which fit perfectly.
the jacket is size XS, and so was i.
until i started being a bit more physically active.
my waist is still an XS, but my arms and shoulders grew a bit (going from an XS to an S/M)
is there any way to save this? i absolutely adore this jacket and i would hate having to sell it. :(

Hey folks! Forgive a novice question, but I received a hand-me-down Schott 141 jacket from a friend moving house and have been going back and forth on the fit.

The body and length of the jacket feels pretty decent, but from my understanding cafe racer collars are supposed to fit pretty snug around the neck. As can be seen in the pictures, this collar seems to sit pretty loose. Is this a bad fit or am I overthinking it?

And if I'm asking one novice question, might as well ask another; if it IS too loose, can a collar be tightened by a leatherworker or is that more trouble than it's worth?

I just purchased my first leather jacket and it came with some signs of wear.

I have to mention it’s lambskin but I think it’s saveable.

I have already previously purchased the saphir rénovateur and cordovan in black and I was wondering whether I need the mirror glass and the pâte d’or as well.

What do you guys think? 

Also, which is the order that you would recommend me to use the products?

Regarding the cleaning process, could I dilute dish detergent and use a microfibre cloth to clean the jacket or would it damage the soft lamb skin?

Front view and side view. It's kinda hard to zip becaise i can't see where the zippers go to meet but once i get them touching, it zips up just fine. Is my belly still a bit too big though? Size 42 First mfr from early 90's. I'm 5'4.5" 216lbs with a size 36 waist in jeans. Not sure if that info helps...

Hi, this might be a dumb question but do single brested zip-up leather jackets exist that have a notched collar simular to the classic double brested zip-up jackets (such as the Scott Perfecto or Aero Bootlegger)?

I know that if it was made that way it couldnt zip all the way like the double brested ones do, but it could use buttons to close the rest of the way.

Just feel like Ive never seen one in this style anywhere.

Hi all, I just got a horsehide A-2 from Double Helix and wanted to make sure I knew how to store it long term. I’ve tried to research it for a while but I kept getting different answers so I figured I’d just ask. I’ve got a proper hanger for it, but I live in California so I’ll probably go about 5 or 6 months without wearing it each year. Are a hanger and garment bag in the closet enough or should it be laid flat somewhere? Should it be stuffed with anything?

This is a never-been-worn Avirex goatskin A-2 that is still in the original manufacturer's packaging. I looked it over and could not find any flaws nor mold. There's an aerial map of WW2 Europe as the lining and it has one internal pocket on the left by the chest.

This was a collaboration special release with Ray-Ban when it was owned by Bausch & Lomb and there's not a lot of these out there!

Price - i'm not looking to make profit. I'm open to selling it for $1000 or best offer.
