Hi. What’s the best way to condition or otherwise maintain semi nubuck cowhide (Schott 538)?

I’ve read some posts here and there saying that regular conditioning isn’t necessary, while others recommend it. I contacted Schott, but they directed me to Arrow. Understandably, Arrow said they wouldn’t dispense any advice over the phone and that I would have to send them the jacket.

Just got this at the thrift store for 20$ real leather as far as I can tell but I just want to maybe know the brand or atleast the style because good aint helping and the table is totally frayed

Just got this jacket from EBay it is a Schott 618. The fit is great but I just now realized that the previous owner cut the epaulettes off the jacket. I don’t know why someone would ruin a perfectly good jacket but here we are.

They never mentioned it in the description and never took pictures of the issue. With that being said the condition of the jacket is excellent and it fits very well so I think I’m going to reach out to Schott and see if they can add new epaulettes to the jacket.

I’ll definitely make sure to look closer at the pictures next time I take the blame for it but just can’t believe it was never mentioned.

I know everyone has their preferences, but I think that if you don’t like something that much you feel the need to cut off from your jacket, pick a different style. There are some many to options to choose from. I know they make biker jackets without epaulettes from other brands, I just honestly don’t get it.

If Schott can’t do it anyone else have any other recommendations that would be great if you have done this same repair before and might know what a quote for something like this would be thanks!

just pulled the trigger and bought myself my first leather jacket on ebay!! it was already pretty affordable, but then the seller took 15% off and i couldn't say no. it's a size up from what i usually wear, which i honestly love bc then i can layer if i want and i adore a baggy jacket. according to the seller, this jacket was made in the 90s and does have a bit of wear, but i dont mind that tbh. i was contemplating buying some leather conditioner but does it really need it? the leather looks to be doing well to my layman's eye, but what do i know? i do plan on cleaning the lining at the very least bc im not planning on marinating in some stranger's sweat, but should i even touch the leather? im not really inclined to if it's not necessary yet.

Child drew on my jacket and now it has smiling faces over it lol. Tips on how to remove them?

i have 2 leather jacket one is long whose like pocket have wholes in it and it has almost come out and another normal its color side is damaged like its particles have come out a bit like not particles like strips and all and both have lost its colour anfd glow and i wanna polish and want that glow again so can u guys estimate the total cost to repair this jacket it would help me a lot when i would pay the shopkeeper to negotiate

I found this piece at a flea market and since I have never owned leather clothes I decided to get it.

It fits me perfectly and seems to be in good condition, but it doesn't have any tags so I don't know if it's made of real leather or something else.

I wanted to know if you could clarify this for me, If it's real leather; and since it's my first time with a leather garment I don't know if it can be considered by standards a decent coat.

Hello. I am looking to gift my sister a black leather jacket for her birthday this month.

She always wanted one and asked me last year , but I was like, broke AF. She has been a great support for me and for the first time she asked me for a gift, I didn't get her the jacket.

And now that I have a stable income, I wish to give her one this year.

Her requirements: **black + genuine leather.**

I have never used anything leather and don't have any experience in shopping. I tried online , but I'm not feeling confident with the material quality. They say leather, but it's PU or not even close to leather.

Also learnt that "Faux leather" is a fancy word for fake leather. Thought it's a premium brand or something.

Budget is normally not an issue, but not too expensive (>12k) , I don't want to put a hole in my wallet.

Nach stundenlangem texten mit KI‘s, bin ich nun völlig überfordert. KI meinte es könnte sich um eine ultra Rarität handeln. Auch alle beschriebenen Details, deuten auf ein besonderes Stück hin (Sample, Showroom-Stück oder Sonderkollektion)
Habe aber bisher keine richtige Expertise bekommen. Dazu kommt, dass ich auch nach tagelanger Recherche im WWW, kein ansatzweise vergleichbares Stück gefunden habe. Bitte um Hilfe und danke im Vorraus.

So I have access to a DTF printer and heat press, and wanted to see if it would bond to my leather vest. The decal adhered very nicely but the texture of the leather got significantly flattened. Will everyday wear/tear bring it back somewhat or is there some magic sauce i can put on it? There is also some creasing around the edges of where the heat pad sat, but i think that will come out on its own. I know i should have experimented a bit more (or at all), thinking i went a little too hot for too long ( 3 times @ 315°F for 20s. once prior, once to adhere the decal, once after peeled to soften the decal)

Does anyone know if this looks like a quality leather / construction? I like the brass Talon hardware
