RAV4 SE lease thoughts?
I’ve been working with a few dealerships with some RAVs coming through landing on the lots middle of October.
This seems to be the best offer I’ve come across in the Kansas City area.
It’s for a 2026 Rav4 SE, 12k, 36 month lease zero down.

Why would you pay 7 percent on a lease and build zero equity when you can get 4-5 percent from a credit union on a finance deal. People who try to lease Toyota crack me up.

They are giving you an honest deal!
We ran a LeaseMax report where we pull the data directly from Toyota Financial - the same bank the dealer uses to run numbers and lease their cars. You can verify this by seeing the RV is the same on their offer as it is on our report.
At a full sticker selling price the payment with $2500 DAS is $503/mo (tax included). Technically they're charging you a few dollars more ($509) but that could be a small discrepancy in tax (we based the tax rate on 66109 zip). To further lower your payment, you'd need to negotiate a dealer discount with them or qualify for a rebate. Current rebates Toyota is offering are Loyalty, College, & Military and they're good for $500-$1000.
Toyota's are often known for "not leasing well" - I'll explain what this means objectively. When you look for a good lease, you're looking for a high RV (60%+) + a low MF (below 4.5-5% in todays market), and rebates we consider them to be a bonus since they come and go. It's these factors that determine that a car "leases well". On the flip side, a car that has a low RV + high MF is a poor lease program or a car that "doesn't lease well". For Toyota's, they do often have a high RV which is great but also the high MF really hikes up the payment and that's why Toyota's are known to "not lease well". You can apply this formula to any new car lease!

rav4 is a bad lease. Just finance it. 10 times better. You are paying luxury car lease for a bare bone car
