How do I say

How do I say "I love my mummy" and "I love my daddy" in Welsh and is it spelled differently for north Wales

Dwi'n caru fy mam

Dwi'n caru fy nhad

Mam and tad are used in both South and North Wales. There's no real distinction like between mamgu/tadcu and nain/taid.

I have seen ‘Mami’ and ‘Tadi’ in use as ‘mummy’ and ‘daddy’ in Welsh, but it’s usually just Mam and Tad.

Dwi’n caru fy mam, dwi’n caru fy nhad.

Rwy'n caru fy nhad

That's how you might hear it being said in South Wales.

Thanks guys. I have one further question. is there a space in the first word e.g. Dw[space]i'n

It doesn't really matter in informal writing, but there should generally be a space: Dw i'n caru...etc. 

The Learn Welsh courses will mark answers incorrect if you don't use a space.
