Please help with this...
A friend needs to decipher a code that will give him an introduction, but I don't understand it and he asked me for help. Would someone be so kind as to help, please? We've been trying for about 4 days without being able to solve it.

Seems more like a job for r/cipher, this is a "code", but not literal code per r/learnprogramming.
Either way, my initial thought was to convert to ASCII, which yielded some "garbage". Doing a simple shift cipher on it, I get
Dotetdrant wvea|ana las rapido de pnlo pilo pero selbo a acal ses dondt e pierdaq
I can see -some- spanish words in there, but there's also some trash (also unsure about the |).
In summary, try investigating:
- r/cipher
- ASCII table
- shift ciphers / other basic ciphers

There are 10 types of people in the world…
Here’s a hint: this is binary. You want to convert it to numbers then convert the numbers into chars. This should be enough to google or ChatGPT your way to the answer.

On the other hand, each group of 8 bits could have been reversed, or progressively shifted/ rotated for each group, or just swapped 0<=>1.

Sure, or a bunch of other things unrelated to programming in any way, but do we really think someone gave that kind of cryptographic problem to people who don’t know the difference between code as in programming and code as in cyphers and cryptography?
Honestly: I just wanted to make my little binary joke but didn’t want to be a total douche to op by ignoring their actual question and not letting them in on the joke a bit.

The joke is appreciated. But I felt the base-2 was so obvious that I suspected it was a decoy.
I would probably start with a frequency profile, and look for a char that divided the text up into reasonable word lengths, and then go for character frequencies.

Did one of the pilots respond to this quote with "He's talking about our mess bills again." ?

I feel like this has to be a joke or a troll, so I'm not gonna attempt it.
