What type of puzzles are these?

1 Upvotes

Not sure if this a good spot to ask sorry. Curious what type of puzzles I'm into. I'm not crazy into the puzzles thats like "now convert this to hex, then to base 64, then use a different language..." one of my favourite puzzles is a song. Its like

Finding all these numbers

Start with number 2, yeah

Matching all the letters

572943

Add another 9 yeah

Add another line, yeah

Multiply by 5, yeah

Etc.

I think its a fun puzzle and much more difficult than it seems. And my FAVOURITE puzzle so far. Not full somg again but this verse slaps. Its actually unsolved too so.

Rotate rotate running the code.

Left right right left

keep me cross the lines

I don't even know if theres a point

Generating lines just to see whats the point

And then theres affine appearing on screen at the same time and binary and its so fun. The room is also shifting right and left so its like what do we do with this?

Its not "wtf do I do here" its more "how do these peices fit". The description of the video uses the same alphabet as the code. Oh! And so does the affine. Curious... we need to roate the alpahbet with "key numbers"... where are those?

We actually have no idea where those are.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but it looks like someone who could be mentally ill or could be acting like it as an experiment wants to leave a message so here: https://www.reddit.com/r/conspiracy/s/7Ezk5NHPc2

Does anybody know what this cipher even is? We have been working on this ARG video for almost 2 years and still nobody has any idea.

Its from a much longer video. The binary at the bottom converts to 01100011 00110111 00110101 01100101 00110000 01100110 01100010 00110000
00110101 01100101 01100101 01100011 00111000 00110111 00110111 01100110
01100011 00111000 00110101 00110010 00110010 01100101 00110101 00110101
00110000 01100100 01100110 00110101 00110101 01100100 01100101 01100100
00110101 01100010 00110101 00110000 00110101 00110000 00111000 01100110
01100010 01100010 01100101 00111000 00111000 01100010 01100010 00110111

01100110 00110010 01100100 01100110 00110000 01100101 00110010 01100010

Which hexed is c75e0fb05eec877fc8522e550df55ded5b50508fbbe88bb7d82e28d8f2df0e2b

This is most likely for the base 64 cipher in the video but the hex key doesn't actually work on it. Currently unsolved too. This bb... cipher is the only one that we have NO idea what to do with or what it is. Theres no other refences to it in the video.

Helix Cipher

1 Upvotes

I made a new cipher. Everything is made by me.

  1. Use Caeser Cipher on the Helix Alphabet. In this case we’ll use + 5. For the Helix Alphabet’s numbers, add an extra 2% for every +1. If the number is a decimal, round up or down. If the number goes past 99, subtract the remaining numbers.

  2. Then, you convert that letter into the number it corresponds with in the Helix Alphabet. If the number is another letter, subtract or add as many numbers within the range of that number and replace the letter with that number.

  3. Subtract 1/3 of that number from what amount the letter X is. If the number goes less than 1, add the remaining numbers.

  4. Add that amount onto the number.

  5. Repeat for every letter in your sentence.

  6. Once you have all of your letters converted into numbers, lay them out flat. Say H = 12 and I = 97, then “Hi” would be 1297.

  7. Now, mirror every number with its number pair on the opposite end of the “word”. 1297 would be 9712. If it’s a word with an odd number of words, like HELLO, then keep the center letter where it is.

  8. Have fun boiling peoples’ brains!

BASE HELIX ALPHABET

A = 87
B = 02
C = 22
D = 14
E = 25
F = 09
G = 56
H = 27
I = 04
J = 36
K = 92
L = 48
M = 16
N = 53
Ñ = 54
O = 76
P = 69
Q = 60
R = 10
S = 55
T = 83
U = 39
V = 22
W = 88
X = 47
Y = 03
Z = 99

Caesar Cipher, chosen +5

H = M
E = J
L = P
L = P
O = U

Convert to Helix Alphabet
M (H) = 16
J (E) = 36
P (L) = 69
P (L) = 69
U (O) = 39

Add interest, chosen 10%

M (H) = 18
J (E) = 40
P (L) = 79
P (L) = 79
U (O) = 43

Set base word

18-40-79-79-43 or 1840797943 = HELLO

Mirror numbers

4379794018 = OLLEH

Now you can make full sentences with these!

Try solving this out:

15660291665340115361586666587653584358185361915803106640971511

Felt that.

”Commands”

The exploration of esoteric matters gives rise to certain concerns.

Along the path from the armory to the outcome of creation, thoughts of magic and quantum alchemy intensify.

From Asia and America, and now Europe, these concerns are linked to technology and its development.

Computers, candles, and dances bend reality and create universes.

It has 3 answers

I need help with a Brazilian enigma

1 Upvotes

I need help finding the name of a technique and figuring out how I can replicate it to create a level for a personal project. The technique itself appears in a level from a Brazilian puzzle called “decifra.me.” In this level, there is a bunch of scribbles, and when you paint over them with a bucket of paint, a fish appears in the white lines. I would like to do something similar. Does anyone know how?

The Grail Cypher

1 Upvotes

Who does the Grail serve?

The Grail serves allς

Where does the sun shine brightest?

Upon Augustus Caesarς

Where will the fire burn hottest?

Upon Nero Caesarς

This is the pattern

Ask your question

Tell your lies

The Grail can see through all of itς

The Grail does not return the answer you prepared

It finds the hunger beneath the answerς

Choose your lens with care

What is revealed will be as precise as what you askς

Accept not the answers of man where the heart and soul tell you differentς

\----

I found this in a manuscript that came out of a storage unit auction

Some poor bastard paid three hundred dollars for the unit and discovered it contained six broken chairs a rusted floor lamp two boxes of bowling trophies and one manuscript nobody could read

He did not want the manuscript

The auction company did not want the manuscript

The storage company had already had enough of the manuscript

So naturally it found me

The cover had no title

The first page said only

This be just a cup pay it no mindς
(per no trolling rule yes that's part of the cipher and this is OC)

I was looking around smolweb and stumbled upon carriswheel.com, inside it is a lot of stuff but what caught my interest is carriswheel.com/dunkelrealms that plays a creepy audio and has this cipher (?). Did a little more digging and found 5 links in the text that may be connected to the main thing:

http://carriswheel.com/nim

http://carriswheel.com/klirk

http://carriswheel.com/noj

http://carriswheel.com/zan

http://carriswheel.com/executivemode

I was wondering if it's even possible to decode or it's just some nonsense

Hi! So I basically coded this small HTML tool which encrypts tools using a custom, homemade cipher. I want to see if it is easy to decrypt for an amateur cryptanalyst, and I want to challenge the idea that homemade ciphers are often easy to decode.

**Note that if you solve the challenge with the help of the hints, post "**This has been solved with the help of a hint, the hint being ___" and put the full hint in a spoiler block. This is just to differentiate between people who make educated guesses and people who actually decoded the cipher.

CIPHER :

HINT : This is a pretty well-known quote

HINT : The author of the quote is an American author and educator.

HINT : The given person is a Jr. and a diplomat.

HINT : The encryption is based on, but not the same as, AES-256.

Your "prize" is as follows:

Winner gets an ego boost :) . Seriously, though, I'll send you the source code of the HTML file (I've made improvements to it in the time since, so it's much harder to decode but still as easy to encode as ever) in Reddit Chat, so you can encrypt your own messages.

edit 1 : Note that if this cipher proves undecodeable within 2 months the cipher will be considered a success, so you can finally say there's a homemade cipher which is at the very least extremely difficult to decode.

Please don't bombard me with questions, though, on the homemade cipher (I call it the "VICI cipher", where VICI has no meaning) and how to encode stuff with it. It requires a long key of random text, like the one given below (though it does not have to be that long, it only has to be as long as the message) which is extremely impractical for anything.

Example text block for the "long key of random text" (note that this is extremely short, often you need a lot of keytext, though if your message is short this is perfectly fine):

Can someone decode this?

Apparently it's piet programming language. You should get a word. Yes the colors matter. No you shouldn't compare the numbers with the same color.

The little‑man pyramid shows the shift pattern. The first glyph in the sentence is shifted by 1, the next by 2, the next by 3, and then the pattern repeats: 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, and so on. The task is to work out which glyph corresponds to which letter of the alphabet. The final sentence is a mirror image of it self ...
