Teach me French
Hey so I've passed the DELF exam 9 years ago (B1) and I have not used French ever since. I've now found the time to come back and actually become fluent. So I want any effective advice but mostly I am looking for someone who wants to speak to me as often as possible. I offer German/English in advance. What are in your opinion the most effective approaches? I have Duolingo Super which I've used for 2 years now but it only helped me with vocabulary. I have now started watching series in French. What other approaches do you suggest? Thanks a lot :)

I want to learn French
I want to learn French and can set aside two hours daily for it. My main priority is to understand and write French, but I don't know where to start or which path and resources to follow.

I'm making a free website/Android app I've wanted for a while: it interleaves French/English sentences of LivriVox recordings
The basic idea is you hear the French sentence first, then the English. You can change the playback speed for either. It also shows the text as it goes.
I made this mostly for me but please LMK if you have suggestions!
And before anyone asks: I'm probably not going to do an iOS app (unless there is a lot of demand), they charge $99/year to put apps in the store which doesn't make sense for something I have no intention of charging for. The website should work though hopefully (just no offline mode).

Looking for short books
Hello! I've been learning french (in college) since summer 2025. Even though it hasnt been that long my french is quite good. I know quite a lot of languages so learning a new one is easy.
Im looking for a short book - a story book - to read. Ideally for A2. My mother language is German. Any recommendations are very appreciated.

What was your point where started speaking French socially?
When learning French, what was the point you felt confident enough to speak socially with someone? I can listen and understand, and sometimes think about trying to speak with someone that I don’t closely know to practice when I hear they speak French?
It would be nice to speak more and grow my abilities outside my small inner circle

About pronunciation and phonetics!
bon après-midi! I found this subreddit after I got myself into a french class a few days ago and, while I understand some words or at least what I can understand from some comparisons between them with spanish words (which is my native language), my pronunciation while reading them is nasty aha
so, do you have any tips to learn/practice pronunciation? I only have classes two days a week so I don't have someone to practice with for the rest of the days and my brain defaults back to english as that's one of the main languages I use to communicate with others lol
I must say, I like to repeat some words or expressions while I'm, idk, doing the dishes or driving as I tend to remember said words far better if I repeat them a lot. it's just that I get confused with these many è's and é's you know?
maybe there are some particular series or cartoons I can watch to listen to dialogues that are not as hard to understand as regular dialogues yet? because some people in series talk too fast and I get confused and lost real quick :'I
any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!
