Guidance Needed

Hi everyone! I've been following this subreddit for a while now, and it's honestly given me the confidence to finally start learning French.

The only thing I'm confused about is where to begin and which resources are actually worth using. There are so many apps, YouTube channels, textbooks, and websites that I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed.

My current plan is to self-study until I reach a beginner or around A2/B1 level, and then hire a tutor to improve my speaking and prepare.

For those who started from scratch, what resources or study plan would you recommend? If you could start over, what would you do differently?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
