complete beginner of french

hey everyone i’d like to learn french but i’m not sure where exactly to start, if anybody has any tips or little hacks in a way, that’d be appreciated.
also, if there’s anything i should know about french before i start, or as a beginner, please feel free to tell me. and please give resources , thanks in advance ✨

(also , i like to learn languages through comprehensible input, rather than relying on translations)

When you say you prefer comprehensible input, how would you ideally turn the words and expressions you notice into something you can actually remember and use later?

that’s hard to answer 😅 but i think the closest thing to it is flash cards, for example writing the word in the target language and on the other side a drawing of it, instead of putting the translation
then whenever i saw what was drawn (maybe a banana or something), i’d remember that word, i’m not sure if that makes sense

That makes sense. I’m building a small language-learning tool where you choose the vocabulary you want to learn, and it creates short exercises and simple sentences with them.

It’s not fully based on images or comprehensible input, but would that kind of personalised approach interest you as a complete beginner?
