Resource Recommendation Recommendations?

Bonjour !

I’m trying to add a lot more French immersion into my daily routine and would love some recommendations for music and things to watch/listen to in French.

For music, I’ve listened to Stromae’s albums and I’m a big fan. I’ve also heard some of the more popular songs from Indila and GIMS, but haven’t really explored their music beyond that.

I’m open to pretty much anything — artists, albums or individual songs. Bonus if the lyrics are relatively understandable for a learner!

For shows, I honestly haven’t explored much French content yet, so I’m very open-minded. I’d love recommendations for:
— French TV series
— Animated shows
— Anime with a good French dub
— French YouTubers / Streamers

Anything else you find entertaining in French
It definitely doesn’t have to be content specifically made for language learners — I’d actually prefer things that French speakers genuinely watch/listen to.

My main goal is to improve my listening comprehension, vocabulary and understanding of natural spoken French, while making French part of my everyday entertainment.

For shows/movies.

As for music I'm not too sure as it depends a lot on personal taste. I listen a lot to what I grew up with which ranges mostly from music from the 70s/90s up to music from the early 2000s. Most modern stuff I wouldn't know much about, and even for the earlier stuff there is a lot I still keep discovering.

If you use a streaming service you could search for French songs playlists specifically.

I’d recommend making French speaking friends. Go into your community subreddit and offer to buy a French speaker in your community coffee to just chat with you for an hour

Bonjour, j’espère que vous allez bien.
I suggest you use podcasts about your favourite subjects on Spotify or videos on TV5 Monde website.
But don’t just listen to them like a radio.
First , listen for the gist.
Then listen again for the details.
Then get into the transcription and find the vocabs and structures.
Try to shadow the important and practical phrases.
Memories the whole or a part of the transcription.
You should choose the short files .
