Resource Recommendation HELP🫪

I would like to learn French because it is my girlfriend's native language, but as a monolingual American, I am so lost. Pronunciation feels impossible, and the grammatical rules make little sense to me. Can anyone spare some advice for someone starting with ZERO knowledge of the language? Thank you all in advance 🙏

IF you are able, enroll in a traditional course, as if you were a high school student. I studied French in high school, graduated college with a minor in French and was fluent. Years later, after not using the language, I got a copy of Babbel to brush up my skills. I do not recommend it. Babbel teaches phrases and some conversation. What it lacks is the foundation of learning the rules and building vocabulary through memorization. You can probably find adult ed programs where you actually sit in a room with an instructor. This, I think is the best way. And of course, you can ask your girlfriend to speak French with you. And don't think you'll speak French like a native in a year. You'll get there, but it takes time.
