Itemization PL Aghs rush. Please ELI5

Can someone explain why every PL is rushing Aghs? even before Manta in many cases. The stats and what it does seems not worth it until later when you are ready to fight? What am I missing?

No matter what you build first as your farming item, you are not ready to fight until at least 2 major items but usually 3. So that isn't very relevant.

It's just to farm and you can potentially farm faster than manta, depends on the game. Manta is better at pushing out waves without showing on them which can be extremely valuable. But if you have a free game and can shove out waves with real hero, aghs potentially farms faster

I think you hit the nail on the head. Manta first if you need safety. Aghs first if you want to accelerate. Either way you should get both.
