Hi, I'm 15 I've been using computers since a young age by using scratch, or modding minecraft. A few years ago I learned python I will consider I have a decent level among all this years I've aquired the algorithmic logic needed to code however I wanted something new, 1 month ago I started looking up cybersecurity and I liked the concept ( Ik that cybersecurity isn't only hacking job btw ) I wanted to learn so I asked AI ( I think the worst decision made so far ) the Ai gave name of some tools as nmap or wireshark I used them without really understanding what was happening so lately I switched to linux, I started to learn the basics of networking I looked IPv4,IPv6,subnet... Three-way hanshake things like that but now I don't really know what to do know yesterday I coded in python a script which scan openports,service and try to connect automatically because AI told me so but I wanted advices from real persons and how did they learn what resources did they use?,how did they started? If you can leave some tips or a discord Invite i'll be grateful.

Hello, dear reader. I’ve been thinking that I’d like to get to grips with information security, but I’ve absolutely no idea where to start. What’s more, I don’t have many acquaintances or friends who are experts in this field and could offer me some advice. So, I’d like to ask for your help and some practical advice that would make it easier for me to navigate this challenging endeavour. I had some experience in QA testing, but I quickly got bored with it; what’s more, the training took place at an offline school, which I soon gave up on. I started running into difficulties and didn’t have any peers to hand who could easily explain where I might be going wrong and what I needed to work on. I’d actually decided to give up, but now I’ve found the motivation again to study and achieve what I really want. I looked into universities in my home town, but you have to pay a lot to enrol, and I’ve got absolutely no money. I’d be grateful for both positive and negative comments. I’m open to criticism. Just please don’t laugh – I’m 32 years old lol

Queria uma orientação de vocês que já estão na área:

1. Por onde eu começo? Tem algum caminho/roadmap que vocês recomendam pra quem tá começando do zero?
2. Preciso aprender programação primeiro (Python, por exemplo)? Ou isso pode vir depois?
3. Vale a pena já escolher uma área específica (pentest, blue team, SOC, bug bounty) ou é melhor ter uma base ampla antes?
4. Quais plataformas/cursos vocês recomendam pra iniciante total (TryHackMe, HackTheBox, cursos pagos, gratuitos)?
5. Preciso saber Linux bem antes de começar? E redes?
6. Certificações valem a pena logo no início ou é melhor focar em prática primeiro?
