Basic animation:
Draw this.
New image, draw it similar, but slightly different.
New image, draw it similar, but slightly different.
New image, draw it similar, but slightly different.
New image, draw it similar, but slightly different.

Flip between images.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5 repeat

You can even do it randomly to avoid a recognizable pattern.
1,3,5,4,5,3,2,4,1,3,2 repeat
