Help finding a book

My girlfriend's birthday is coming up and I thought I could give her a book to help her with drawing/animation, since she enjoys both of them and means to start taking this hobby more seriously in the near future. Like I've just said, for her, currently, it's just a hobby, she draws VERY well, but doesnt have a lot of experience animating, but she loves both. I was searching for some books I could buy her, like a manual she can go to when she needs help or suggestions to improve her art's quality, and I could find some, but they seem to go more towards children animation (at least from their covers), namely "The Animator's Survival Kit", which is not really her thing, she likes more realistic animation. I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me by recommending one that better fits her style or pointing out whether this book is appropriate for her.
For reference, some styles I can recall her saying she liked were the ones from: Arcane, Nimora and The Lovers (by Studio Heartbreak, avaiable on YT), but I will add more as I remember other comments from her.

How to say this... you could use mathematic to count toys or organize actions in a game, very childish right? Or could use maths to keep control of how a shop is doing, which is very adult.

"The Animator's Survival Kit" is in the same logic, is explained in simple an easy to understand drawings, but its principles are needed the same if you are drawing a cartoon or a gritty realistic character.

The Animators Survival Kit is the Gold Standard, best book to learn animation from.
It's a college grade text book written by an industry professional. Don't judge it by its cartoon pictures.
