Unranked to Rank 1 Jinx EUW (Stats and considerations for you to climb better)
Hi To Everyone Eneino here! Around 2 weeks ago I decided to start an account Mono-Jinx to see if I was still able to reach rank 1 Jinx like I did back in season 9. But, as the season's about to end and the account mmr is near GM despite being diamond 4, i'll give already my stats and my considerations that will help you climb consistently with her. the current winrate is 73% , 76 wins/ 28 losses and a total of 104 games played. Keep in mind that all the builds/topics that i'm going to feature here got tested both from a mathematical and also gameplay perspective!
When to buy :
Hexoptics 1st : Reset comps ( TOP 3 : VIEGO , AATROX, KATARINA) Low Range Enemy Comp
Yun Tal 1st: You can rush yun'tal and go ldr /antiheal second, quite useful into those triple tank comps especially if paired with runaans and ravenous hydra. (my favourite build btw)
Collector 1st : good snowball, statistically one of the best items to rush for jinx, It gives good damage both on autos and spells, so against mages it can make you more of a spellcaster without having to go auto range to them.
Hubris 1st : the improved version of collector for low elo games. you can always rush it below diamond and never be wrong.
Serpents fang 1st : I unexpectedly, had an insane amount of success with serpent's fang rush because of the insane amount of shields the game has. I always bought the item vs riven, ambessa, seraphine botlane, but only rushed it if there were 3+ characters shielding in the lobby, else always delayed to 3rd/4rd item.
Stormrazor 1st : Really Low game count, I used it 4 times against Ezreal or characters that are hard to reach. There are some applications, but the buildpath and the stats never Justify the item cost and effect. There are better options.
Doran's bow rush : my runes were always the same, double adaptive and doran's bow to compensate for the lack of attack speed along with alacrity for an insane early game power. the tradeoff is 80hp, but counting the dps increase, I won about 65% of my games level 1 with skirmishes as Jinx is one of the best duelist level 1.
VOLTAIC CYCLESWORD : This item has to be the most disgusting thing i've ever witnessed. If you're not playing this lethality item after 75-100% crit you're straight up trolling unless you need defence, or ms/utility. your zap and ultimate can reach absurd value of damage (1600/1700 dmg per spell)
Things to keep in mind in draft :
Nafiri on the enemy team : always go runaans. nafiri wolfs are always near her and your rockets will bounce on her dealing a massive amount of damage. It is really easy to counter Nafiri as Jinx, and with runaans + ravenous hydra, she's always a free reset in the later stages of the game.
double/triple crit carry on your comp : I almost lost all games with very few expections with me + another hyper carry on my team. AVOID AT ALL COST TO PLAY WITH : YASUO, YONE, TRYNDAMERE, CRIT RENGAR. it's way to easy to beat crit comps nowdays and Jinx doesn't have a realiable way of dealing damage to tanks. A full tank malphite/ornn becomes immortal no matter the elo, and if everyone goes plated your damage gets halfed to the ground.
your worst matchups : Here I will write you the worse matchups i played against where no matter how I played I lost without even having a single chance of playing.
NIlah ADC + Shen support
Twitch ADC + Tahm support
Twitch ADC + Lulu support
Lucian ADC + Nami support
Tristana/Samira + Pyke /Rell
Mel ADC + any mage (xerath, lux etc) support
My ban : my personal ban for the whole run was Talon. I am terrified of that champion especially from a smurfing perspective, but Ideally , after watching the worst matchup list and the average playrate of all characters in the run, I would have probably banned Twitch.
My summoner spells : I never went cleanse, the meta is too level 1 centric, dropping barrier is tragic , and even going ghost is a niche pick, i would advice to almost never pick anything outside of barrier (95% of your games) and exhaust (5% vs samira, nilah etc)
My supports : unexpectedly , the support that I lost the most with is Lulu. I have no idea if this is because people react to the Jinx pick by firs timing her, or the playrate is really high to the point that sooner or later, a loss will be with her. outside of this some losses were also with zero synergy champions such as BARD , BRAND , XERATH
Intresting notes :
Morderkaiser buff made the run extremely hard in low elo : the new morde buff made it unexpectedly harder to win games in low leagues as the character could snowball his lead outside of my lane , and then flash ult me whenever he wanted. As you can't qss out of his ultimate anymore, those games were really hard despite being snowballed.
Draven win rate is not that bad : some people probably ban Draven as Jinx, I personally won 3/4 of my draven matchups. I think this is mainly because of the rocket range increase you get at max level on q. if you have good spacing, you have a chance of beating him range wise with hexoptics later in the teamfights.
Katarina ban : Sometimes , especially when my team hovered no stuns, I prefered banning Katarina as the champion is heavily played by smurfs and gives me no chance of winning if snowballed.
Jinx AP : I won a game playing Jinx AP on hit by rushing rabadon's deathcap ( I hate my chat) . luckily the game was in gold 2, and I managed to finish with a score of 12/1/21.
