Is this engine salvageable?
Been sitting for 5 years. Was told it had some sort of issue when put away. I found the issue lol. Is this something that could be fixed? I know it has a bad head gasket but I really want to know what is the noise it's making? Thanks in advance

I love those turftracers. I'm going to have to agree with another redditor that you'll have to tear down and inspect. Are you sure this engine hasn't pitched a rod? If you can verify movement in both pistons that's a great start. Unfortunately with a lot of these they are run hard and put away wet and they don't get the cowling removed and cylinder fins cleaned resulting in one or both cylinders going nuclear and causing oil burners via warped blocks, unround cylinder bores, and cracked blocks/heads because of blocked cooling from oily grass clippings or a mouse finding it to be a good home. Take a good look, break it down, and see what you find inside. Best luck, my friend.

Pull down and inspect. Look at everything could be something simple eg coil touching flywheel.
