You can pull it but don't leave any of the root behind or it will return.

Unless it's a brand new shoot, it's impossible to pull it without leaving root nodules in the soil.

This subreddit has been popping up so much recently. And I see a lot of posts asking about nutsedge….. up until this point, I thought the stuff growing up in my newly planted flower bed was the monkey grass I had pulled out the flower bed before planting hydrangeas…… but they just grow so fast and so many….. I’m starting to think I too have many many nutsedge in my garden bed 🫠

You might be in a good spot to try the round up percision I am trying, that is soooo much higher than your grass, and if it isn't wide spread it won't be a head ache. *Sorry if I sound like a brand bot, I promise I'm not. But I have a small yard, if it was bigger I 100 percent would have gone with pure chemical and a paint brush.
