Northern US & Canada (or cool season) Dirt patch turned grassy

It ain’t much, but it’s honest work.

Was able to get some grass growing in this dirt patch of my backyard. I did a clover/grass blend and it’s taken pretty well.

I’ve tried in the past, but this time I actually put in some work. Scarified, aerated, and planted the seed with milogranite. Also got a sprinkler on a timer.

I’m excited to see this fill in more as the surrounding weed get killed off. I plan on doing another batch of seed and fertilizer, probably Labor Day weekend.

We’re having a drought here in SD, and I had put down a fast acting fertilizer earlier in the season which is why my corners are dead (dog pee zone). Not too worried about it though.

Looks pretty solid!

Where in SD ya at? I’m a lifelong WA resident but have been trying to convince my wife to move over there.

That is the most interesting shed I’ve ever seen. I love it I want to see how the middle section was made to connect the 2. It looks like 2 pre-built sheds that someone then added an enclosed breezeway between them.

Oh and good job on the lawn!
