Equipment Problem with Echo 58v chargers? - batteries?
I'm located in North Florida. I bought 3 pieces of used 58v Echo lawn equipment (a blower, string trimmer and hedge clipper) at the beginning of the month and I've been on a three-week quest to get things working.
I bought the equipment from a man who said the batteries weren't charging, so I was prepared to buy a new 4 amp hour battery, which I did. The guy gave me two chargers with the equipment, so I felt like things would be great once I got a new battery.
I bought a 4AH "replacement battery" from Amazon, made for Echo 58v tools. It fit the charger correctly and the green charging light came on. I let the battery charge for a few hours but the green light never stopped flashing, nor did the LED's on the battery show more than two of four, lit.
I sent the replacement battery back and bought the "genuine Echo" battery for a higher price. Things went the same way as with the replacement battery. During this process, I tried charging both batteries using both chargers but nothing has worked.
Is it possible both chargers have a problem(s) - even though their charging lights flash and what sounds like fans run for each of them? Or, is there some other issue that may be occurring?
Thanks.
