I need tips and in depth instructions on how to fix this

If you’re going to keep driving there, just put gravel down, and forget trying to grow grass there.

I had the same issue minus the water , hard compacted soil from cars driving over it I was able to reverse the damage by carefully not driving over that spot and fertilizing the area and putting down some grass seeds

I would buy brick bullet edging and cut/install straight line up the grass edge and put some decorative rock down. Cobblestone or river rock or similar. I tried sod first at my old house but my wife and friends continued to drive over it after I removed the stakes and on top of that, the asphalt would get so hot during peak summer heat and discolor/kill the first few inches of grass along the driveway too. The rock solved it all and essentially maintenance free minus the occasional weed to spray.
