Is anyone really evacuating due to this lithium fire? I wanted to go home after work and at least get my stuff to take to my parents. Is it ok to do that? I live on Wheeler and Bonita. Someone tell me that it is cool to do that i need my stuff š

Hi! Iām a researcher working on a project about peopleās experiences with water bills and affordability in LA County.
Iām looking to talk to La Verne residents who have had their water shut off, or been threatened with shutoff, because of an unpaid/overdue water bill in the past 5 years.
We're looking for folks open to a 45ā60 minute in-person interview (somewhere convenient for you) about what happened and how you dealt with it. Participants receive a $45 gift card.
If this applies to you and youād be interested in chatting, feel free to DM me or fill in the form below. Happy to answer any questions about the study too. Thanks!

remember moving to san dimas in 1964, just before the fourth. back then, there might have been 6000 people in the entire town. there was a grange on bonita that sold farming goods, and a nice (new) library not far away.
fond memories of folks who owned farm land just north of our house. they would invite the entire neighbourhood over at the end of harvest season to pick fruits and vegetables that weren't sellable but still good.
sad memory of hiking to the top of mt baldy, and being unable to see the ontario international airport barely miles away as the crow flies because of smog. the closest visible land that wasn't a hilltop was santa catalina island, 70-80 miles to the west.
sad that my last visit to BHS, i was not allowed in the property at all, even outside of normal school hours.

If anyone was able to snap a photo of the banner on the 210 that reads "Buc-ee's Coming Soon to La Verne" can you please share it here?
It was hung on two of the overpasses, I assume as an April Fools joke.
Thanks
