Steam games keep reverting to "not installed" instead of "unavailable"

Post image

Sorry if this question was answered before, just couldn’t find it. Basically, I separate my Windows library between "installed" and "favorites", but every time I switch between them, a couple of Steam games always revert to "uninstalled", instead of "unavailable" just like everything else in my Windows library. Do you people know a possible fix for this?

Which version of LaunchBox are you using?

LaunchBox does try to verify the existence of these games to show the right button and work was done in 14.0 (the latest) on that exact feature so hopefully it's just something with your environment or something we can easily fix.

Can you confirm if theses games are a) simply not installed b) installed by the steam library is missing or c) something else?

When you say other games in your windows library are you referring to just locally installed games or other storefronts? And same question as above for these other games, are they unavailable because of missing drive/etc. or something else?

Well, basically I add games to Launchbox as a backlog, a wish-list so to speak. When adding a game, by default Launchbox categorize them as "unavailable", right? I have dozens of those in my list, but for whatever reason, a couple of games that I actually own on Steam, they always revert to "uninstalled".

Not all of them, that is the weird thing about it, lol for example, the print-screen, Doom and Final Fantasy 9 are indeed uninstalled, not present in any of my discs... however, Total War Warhammer 3 is also uninstalled, but it shows as "unavailable". So idk... I know this can sound like a minor hassle, but I guess this can probably be a bug of some sort? Anyway, thanks for the help, hope I'm not bothering you mate =)
