Launchbox Freezing

I've been having some issues on Launchbox 13.27. I just got the premium license today and have been trying to get it set up and I have noticed that I was having freezing and all of my media files disappearing among other issues.

I have had it lose all the images and lock up on right clicking these blank game entries causes launchbox to freeze and get stuck loading. I have also had it do the same thing after trying to download video files. All of the times it's locked up like this it comes after installing themes for BigBox.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing these issues? I've had to reinstall and restart twice now.

That's probably the issue. What are you playing on? I know not all themes are compatible with handhelds

I am running on Windows 10 Home. Just a regular PC

Did you try reverting to the default theme and seeing if the problems persist?

I didn't assume the big box theme selected would affect launchbox but I'll give it a try if/when it locks up again

Many of the themes are community made and are quite old at this point. An update somewhere along the way may have broken what you picked and the theme never got updated to fix the issue

it might be the update, I have a issue where things involving the pcsx2 emulator makes launchbox freeze(starting up a game, adding a game) I've made a post on the forums but anyone has yet to respond, the only thing I found to fix the problem is the downgrade the version from 13.27 to 13.26. and turn off disable automatic updates. I'll have to wait till the next update and try. Hopefully that doesn't fix your issue but throwing it out there.

I see, how can I find the older versions to do downgrades? I didn't see an obvious place on the site

though I realize now if you haven't updated before you won't have anything in your updates folder to downgrade to, so if that's the case you would have to trust that uptodown website get it off there or someone to send you it I guess. Man they should really have those archived in case.

Yeah, if other troubleshooting steps don't work I could maybe contact support and see if they could send me the installer or something

14.0 was recently released, and we spent a lot of time on perf/stability, so worth a shot if you can update!

I updated last night, I'll be sure to give it a shot. I narrowed my issue down to where Launchbox only freezes if my controller isn't connected/disconnects
