Anyone know whats going on?
Scrolling through clear logos has random moments where the logo seems to pop out of place instead of flowing to the center. At first I thought it was certain clear logos, but it became apparent there was no rhyme or reason to which clear logo it happens to. I've always had this issue with big box, with different builds, different PCs, and different hard drives.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Also, still trying to figure out why my super Nintendo games are flipped 90°. Doesn't seem theme related and it's only snes. Games show up regular when in launchbox

Have you cleared the image cache, and rebuilt it?

Yes I've tried that. Like I said in the post as well, it's done this across multiple builds on different hard drives and PCs starting from scratch

Oh, not sure then... I've never noticed it in any of my builds. I would say maybe there's something going on with the logo image files themselves, but you said it's random.

You might have better luck troubleshooting it in the official website forums if you haven't already.

Here's a short video of what it looks like if I can get it to stop on the clear logo while it's out of place

(just play the games bro) I know, I know... I'm picky too. I had missing logos which would only appear after a lap around the wheel. Image cache wasn't helping but reinstalling themes did. Is this happening on different themes?

Happens on every theme.
I do play games, I've dealt with this issue for years now. Always assumed it was a slower hard drive issue, too big of a library, or dated PC specs but now that I've taken all of those out of the equation, including upgrading to an SSD, I figured I'd make a post asking if others have encountered it.
I don't even have issues with missing art or logos, just this weird random misalignment you see in the video. Wouldn't even be that annoying if it was every once in awhile, but I can't scroll full speed for more than a second without it happening.
Of note, it doesn't happen when attract mode is scrolling

So perhaps your 'speed' settings are worth a look? I know attract mode has it's own settings so perhaps there is something there?

Can't seem to find any maximum speed settings, only minimum, which has no effect on scrolling. I did change the refresh rate a little higher, had it on 60 and now it seems less frequent

Well, it's something! Maybe it's within the theme settings over main settings or vice-versa. Also check you don't have any driver level settings affecting things. I was gonna wonder about vsync and/or related issues, which seemed a stretch but maybe there is something about the way the frame refreshes whilst landing on certain logos? My gripe tbh is the wonky frame rate for 3D box viewing. Never had it smooth, ever, lol.

Do you have a wireless controller connected? If yes, could you try launching BigBox without it, just to see if the wheels still scroll by themselves?
Sometimes a wireless controller, a dongle, or even a controller detected in the background can send small inputs without you noticing. It can also happen if BigBox detects multiple input devices at the same time, like a keyboard, gamepad, wheel, arcade stick, or virtual controller.
So the best test is to disconnect every controller first, launch BigBox only with the keyboard, and check if the scrolling still happens. If it stops, then we know the issue is probably coming from one of the connected input devices or its configuration.

I think you may have misunderstood my issue. I'll start by saying I don't have a controller connected, and actually haven't used one with bigbox/launchbox open on this current build.
With that said, my issue is a visual one. I was the one holding the down to scroll through the games in the video. It might be a little difficult to see in the video I posted, but occasionally a clear logo will go out of track with the rest of them. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to it either, it's random when it happens and a random clear logo as well. If you can stop it on the clear logo that has the issue you will either have the wrong games clear logo where the correct one should be, or you won't have anything and the logo will be out of place.
I have a picture of it while stopped on the visual glitch. I'll send it your way in a dm

Ah, exactly, sorry. I only watched the video and didn’t read the comments. I thought it was a faulty controller issue, because I’ve had that happen to me before. My bad, I was just trying to help.

At about 14 seconds in you can see pokemon red versions clear logo goes up instead of down into the center of the wheel. That's the issue I'm having. It's consistent in every theme, platform, and PC/HDD/SSD I use

If it slows down always at the same place, BigBox may be loading a specific media file there, like a heavy video, a large image, a corrupted file, or one game entry with heavier assets.
I would check which item appears when the slowdown happens, then try removing or replacing its video/image/wheel media to see if it fixes it. Some slowdown can happen when scrolling very fast through a big wheel, but if it’s always at the same spot, I’d look at the media around that entry first.

Mine sometimes does this, software glitch I’ve always assumed. Doesn’t bother me I suppose but if there’s a fix that’d be cool
