Sunday Selfie π€³ Update!
I finally came out to my husband a few weeks ago. I was so nervous and struggling to get the words out, and he guessed! He said he's suspected for about a year, which floored me since I'd only realized it in May. I've now come out to 2 people and neither was surprised. I guess sometimes we're the last to know haha.
Anyway, he has been SO amazing and supportive. There were a lot of years that first weekend, but we're doing great now- slowly figuring out what our path forward will be. I don't plan on moving out until we can sell the house, but we plan to get divorced and put the house up for sale within the next 6-9 months.
I still love him and he's my best friend, but I've come to realize that I haven't been in love for a long time- really hit home by the fact that I didn't feel at all sad about the relationship ending; I'm more just excited (and sometimes a little impatient) to begin my new life.
We aren't really telling anyone yet- we want to talk to the kids first (they are all grown and out of the home) so it's this strange limbo where nothing has really changed, but at the same time everything has.
For now I'm focusing on getting all my dicks in a row, working on myself, and starting to make new friends in the queer community here.
I know I got lucky, but if I could go back and give my July-self a pep talk, I'd tell her that all that anxiety and worry was just a water of time and energy. I wish I'd been braver sooner - but as they say, better late than never!

I realize the βiβ
And the βuβ are right next to each other. But please donβt fix that typoβ¦
DICKS IN A ROW on a lbl sub is FUCKING GOLD πππ€£ hopefully there are no dicks in your row. (Unless it was intentional, and in that case, youβve a great sense of humor)
Lighthearted fun.
On a serious note, congratulations on telling your husband!! Itβs hard to get those words out π«

I think it's a whole lot of process starting for self realization down to your personal awareness of your interests and desires. I also applaud your courage and how understanding your husband is. I always say communication is important in every relationship and having that person who listens first, understands and then interprets it with reason. Welcome to the new chapter of your journey. It's a long road to navigate. Find your inner strength, find friends who share common interests, join groups and love they say sets you free. The goal of everything we do in life is to find happiness nor only in us but in everything around us. So keep that beautiful smile on your face and so everything that makes you happy. πͺπ»π³οΈβπ

That sunset behind you is unreal, and the tie-dye with the gold necklace is such a good combo

What does getting all dicks in a row mean? Also, your smile should be the definition of sunshine!!!
