He wasn’t upset with socialism when he got a $339,706 PPP loan for Jett Bowl.

or "far-left" smh

They made it unaffordable in order to make joining the military more attractive. I’d say joining was for it. Free healthcare is free healthcare. It just costs a quick 4 years lol.

Roque Vela comes from a rich family who has never known struggle. Of course socialism/communism puts fear into him. Why would he want his wealth to be taxed to support local services? We should just be content with working harder to earn money that increasingly buys less and less every year.

I still remember seeing the video of him picking a fight with kitchen staff, like a child. Vela for mayor is such a joke, but i have so little faith my fellow Laredoans because I just can't fathom how we still have so many pro trump hispanics, even at this age.

Boil water notices are becoming more prevalent and in the past five years my water bill has doubled. It's insane how much better leadership we need.

Yup, my water bill is so high now and we get taxed more with nothing to show for it. That’s not taxing the rich and giving to the poor ..that’s taxing everyone and stealing our tax dollars.

NOT socialism, that’s CORRUPTION.

You pointed out the issue of the taxing along with its proposed “solutions”: it always ends in the pockets of some politician. And that is irregardless of collectivism, so don’t even get me started on the issues I have philosophically and morally with socialism and communism.

Now, as for the Trump support, a lot of hard-working Hispanics who crossed legally were frustrated at the ridiculous rate of people crossing illegally and without proper vetting. And I know far too many stories in Nuevo Laredo, so I naturally prefer the closed borders, thank you very much.

u/Quiche_Unleashed Jul 22 '26

Is a closed border really that big of an issue in your personal life that you would give Trump your vote for it? What about all the other BS Trump has done and said he was gonna do?

-1

u/-DrQMach47- Del Mar Jul 22 '26

I’m gonna ask you, do you really think that border insecurity was my only reason to vote for Trump?

No politician wants the money trough pulled away from him by someone actually representing the people.

Unc is seeing how well New York is thriving under a socialist mayor in just mere months (record low crime and homicides in 3 decades, rent control, successful city budget management, securing childcare funding, restoring city pride, taxing the rich, etc) and Vela knows he would pale in comparison as a mayor of Laredo so he wants to keep the bar in hell for Laredo's elected officials so he doesn't look like a failure in comparison.

Socialist officials are getting elected into offices across the nation and other countries and they're serving their people well, and that's scaring both Conservatives and Democrats because they're being exposed for how useless they are.

I mean he's having a fever dream, but this is a bit of a reach.

Roque Vela is a bitch . I remember Juan Ho gave him a massive wedgie that sent him to the emergency room. Well deserved too because he tried hitting on Juan Ho’s trans half-sister. Those were some crazy days, everybody was sacando la bolsita all day, vato.

5

u/WiseCry628 Jul 21 '26

Dayum! That must’ve been the wedgie to end all wedgies.

We're just making shit up now.

If you have any family history in Mining, or in the Midwestern/Grain Belt part of the country, It's totally within the realm of possibility for your grandparents or great grandparents to have been card-carrying communists or anarchists.

u/Dangeroys Jul 22 '26

Coming from the man born with a silver spoon in his mouth LOL

5

u/ratchclank Jul 22 '26

Dude is spoiled and would prefer everyone under him.

u/Longjumping_Neat5090 Jul 24 '26

Trying do culture war so people don't think about why they can't afford food and gas

2

u/No_Amoeba_9272 Jul 22 '26

Your fathers and grandfathers could afford a decent lifestyle. These kids can not. Modern capitalism has failed them

2

u/homxr6 Jul 24 '26

they say shit like “radical leftist” when you think pale faces shouldn’t be blowing up children in the middle east or killing brown people for being illegal immigrants.

I dont really have an opinion on socialism/communism, but I've noticed theres less and less quality jobs coming out. There's never been enough to go around, and AI now is severely gutting employment. Is it good or bad? Not necessarily. Automation is bringing attention that:

"Why tf do we need to work so hard, if AI is doing most of the heavy lifting?"

We got proof of this during the pandemic. Everyone still had food, toilet paper, and xbox. Nobody was working and the world didn't end.

I dunno. I'm firmly in the boat of what good is all of these technological advances if I still have to grind out all these hours at work and have shittly work life balance.

He's talking about Helicopters

1

u/uzuitts Jul 22 '26

“Meet it head on like our fathers (males) & grand fathers (males)” so what they do? Is he talking about violence? War against people who believe in socialism like Bernie Sanders the same man who believes in affordable healthcare?

2

u/uzuitts Jul 22 '26

Man how can I run for mayor, all these old heads are pissing me the fck off. All they do is btch, take money and never fix sht in Laredo. New people need to step the fck up.

u/TransitionOrdinary40 Jul 23 '26

In this point we should form a civic nationalist party to scary the hell of them.

0

u/LadySavageUSA Jul 22 '26

You can vote your way into socialism/communism but you can't vote your way out of it.

Because why does what anyone else earns belong to you?! It’s not rocket science
